Although Jerome walked behind Marcus, he was able to tell something was bothering his alpha and not just what he told him, but something else.
"Alpha…." Marcus raised his hand, stopping him from speaking more.
"Don't. Come in." The security at the gate let him in and held Jerome from going in since he looked like a thug with the whole tattoos all over his hands.
"He's with me, James." Marcus said without stopping, and the security let go of Jerome after apologizing.
Jerome dusted his shirt, glaring at the security guard as he walked behind Marcus. This time Marcus used the elevator instead of the stairs, Jerome joined him and the elevator closed.

They both came out, Marcus tapped in his passcode on the door, and it opened, letting them in.
"Your security is getting tough, Alpha?" Jerome teased, slouching on the couch.
Marcus scoffed as he took his shirt off, "as if they would protect me." Jerome snickered.
