Chapter 10 - Hunters are coming

Gray had bested Goji and the other two easily, and it was even in his tired blooddrained state.

This had not happened before.

All the other times that Gray had been bullied, he had not attacked back.

Or rather, he would just look the other way, pretending that they did not exist.

No matter how much they called him names or threw raw egg at him.

It was of no use.

Gray would just look the other way. As far as he was concerned, these little cubs were not worth his time.

However, it was entirely different when they touched Cherry.

The worse part was that he had only given each and everyone of them a hit.

Unfortunately, Gray had been a tard bit too careless.

He had forgotten that that Werewolves were far more sturdy than humans.

Clearing Goji to the ground had unfortunately not been enough.

After passing Goji to hit the other two, Goji slowly rose to his feet.

Any Werewolf had incredible pride.

This was pride that came from their mindset that they were superior beings, and as a people blessed with such a unique Bloodline, they believed that the world should revolve around their Will.

For anybody filled with pride at any time, the worse thing to feel next, was embarrassment and shame.

The fact that a Bloodless, an existence that was looked down on by everybody to be trash made him touch the ground was the biggest shame ever.

To make matters worse, he had touched the ground in front of his two followers.

This was a slap to his pride and ego as a Werewolf, as one blessed with a Bloodline, but even worse, a slap to his name as the son of an Elder and Beta Wolf of the pack.

The shame and embarrassment incited his anger, and his anger, his Bloodline ability.

Instantly, his fingers became longer and sharper, turning into claws.

His jaw became wider, allowing for the instant growth of two incisors from his upper jaw.

His eyes turned a shade of yellowish green and even under the moonlit, they gave a light glow.

He gave a low growl as he looked at the cause of the negative feelings running amok within him.

With a kick against the ground, he rushed for Gray.

His six inches claws stabbing right from the back into his chest.

It was only when Goji felt the blood stain him did he realize that he had messed up, instantly reverting back to his human form.

However, it was too late.

~Uhhm~ Gray groaned pulling the attention of his sharp witted sister.

She felt her clothes get moist with blood.

And then she noticed the bleeding.

"Brother Gray! Brother Gray!!" She panicked as she was as a loss for what to do.

She was only six years old but she knew that this much blood should not come out of a person.

After all, she had watched when prey was cut for the pack consumption and had seen how it was treated.

A loss of blood was a loss of life.

She turned to Goji, "What... What did you do to my... Big Brother!?"

However, as she spoke, her lips quivered and she burst into tears.

She tried her best to hold him steady, but her strength failed her and his weight was too much.

Gray fell right on her, pushing her down.

She tried to control his fall but in the process, she accidentally pushed him to the side.

Just behind her was the hole she had been peeking the entire ceremony from.

Gray stubbled into it.

By the time she had realized what was going on, it was too late.

Gray fell through the hole a distance of fifteen feet high.

~DUM~

His body landed right on the altar table.

Cherry looked at him and cried her heart out.

She really did not know what to do.

The adults had moved out because of Werecat cries, and her big brother had fallen to his death.

Meanwhile, the realization of what he had just done hit Goji in waves and the thought of his wrong doing overwhelmed his sense of reasoning.

He kicked against the ground in a faulted attempts to get on his feet, finally, he did and he fled into the night.

Cherry on the other hand, came down the dome and rushed for the altar.

...

Meanwhile, the adults rushed into the forest, it was a full moon but the trees blanketed the land making sight very difficult.

However, it did not tamper with their speed even a little bit.

They were Werewolves, meaning that they were in the night like fish in water.

Their sharp hightened senses and incredible eye sight played an effective role to their adaptation of the dark.

Their goal was not all that too far.

In only a little while, they had made it to the source of the howls.

It was three Werecats.

They were in their half Were forms with cat ears, whiskers, claws and tail that extended from their nether region.

Two of the Werecats were adults. They were injured badly and the last one singing the howls was a teenager. She had tears in her eyes as she called loudly for help.

Immediately, Ironclaw landed right before them.

In his deep commanding tone, he asked. "What is the matter young one?"

"My Papa... My mama... My Cluster... " She panicked as she spoke with tears and mucus running down her face.

"Yes, what happened to them?"

As he asked, he came close, and then he saw the slash wounds on the bodies on the ground.

"Shit! It's a Trap HUNTERS!!!"

~Wush!~Wush!!~Wush!!!~

Arrows whistled through the air.

Instantly, Ironclaw with his quick reflexes reacted fast.

He dove unto the teenage Werecat pushing her out of the way, to the side as he dodged the arrows aimed at him.

The sharp piercing sound of flesh was heard.

Unfortunately, it all landed squarely on the chest of the person behind him.

"AMBUSH!!!"
