Chapter 16 - First Bloodline mark

Goji looked to his side in surprise.

However, Gray did not let him enjoy the puzzlement of the view for long.

With a swipe for Goji's face, a slap with claws bashed in, sending him flying against a tree.

He hit the tree hard, and fell to the ground.

The impact made him cough out a mouth full of blood.

However, considering Goji's size and his monstrous Werewolf form that was in-between Wolf and a human, Gray knew that the hit would be enough.

Gray was warrior once upon a time, he understood how battle worked.

One was to attack the moment the upper hand was gained.

Without waste of time, he pounced of a tree, using it as momentum for his swift attack.

Landing right on Goji's chest.

*Bam!*

The hit resonated off the trees.

*Bam*

The second hit came again.

Goji could suddenly feel his lungs contract, and his heart felt like it was on overload.

He raised a claw, and dug into Gray's flesh, effectively poisoning him on his abdomen, but that was not enough to stop Gray's assault.

Again and again and again.

The attacks rained down ceaselessly.

Every hit made Goji vomit blood.

Again and again and again and again.

In Goji's eyes, Gray could see that it was enough and he should stop.

However, he didn't. No! He couldn't stop even if he wanted to.

His anger flooded his blood. No, it was not just his anger.

This massive pungent mass of rage came from somewhere else, prompting him to hit harder every time.

It was fueled by unbridled rage mixed with sprinkles of pain, overflowing from his body.

As far as his muscles, bones, and even spirit was concerned, Goji had not hurt his brother.

No!

Goji had hurt him.

"Brother Gray! No!!" Someone suddenly hugged him from behind.

However he waved his hand to push the person away.

"Ahhh!" Cherry groaned as she was slapped a distance away.

It was only after he had hit her that he remembered the sound of the voice in his head.

His claws instantly paused in the air.

Gray was unaware, but unlike the normal Werewolf, his eyes had a red glow.

He immediately looked at the mess he had made.

Goji's chest was now a mashed mixture of blood and innards.

His chest curved in like a cup, blood and bone were made into a terrible unmendable concoction.

Gray's hands leaked with thick blood like it was noodles over soaked in soup.

This was not the first time he was seeing blood, but he couldn't help but back off a bit.

~Ahhh~

He could hear his brother moan in pain.

Instantly, he turned in his direction.

It was at this moment that Gray saw it.

Little red strands of energy were entering Duster's body from his body.

Slowly, they receded.

As they did, the rage and anger he felt went down significantly.

And then he felt a stinging burn on his chest.

It was as if a branding iron for animals was being used on him.

He tore open his shirt in response, and then he saw his chest glow in a low red hue.

He did not have time to investigate it.

At the moment, Cherry was coughing out blood in a corner.

He rushed to his younger sister.

Gray took her in his arms as he checked her condition.

She was faring better than he thought.

It was just a light injury. This made him sigh in relief.

However, he suddenly remembered Duster.

He rushed over to him.

Placing his still bloody hand on the boy, he subconsciously activated the ability that let him sense his environment in immaculate detail.

Aura waves washed over Duster. With this, Gray could see the damage that had been done to the boy's insides.

Duster had activated his bloodline, but his healing was very slow.

And he was having massive internal bleeding.

At this rate, Duster was sure to die before he could heal completely.

Gray contemplated what to do.

However, he suddenly remembered something.

Werewolves of the same pack could accelerate healing in one another.

Like a glutton biting into bread, he bit into his wrist and the blood gushed out from his veins.

Instantly, he placed his wrist in Duster's mouth, allowing the trails of blood to flow in.

At first, it seemed like nothing happened.

However, the blood Gray had passed unto his brother was very different.

Like electricity running through coils, Gray's blood charged into every cell of Duster's body, metamorphism like what Gray could never imagine was taking place.

It was not just the boy's wounds that healed, but a deep fundamental change was currently taking place.

It was not until far off in the future that Gray would realize that this action of his changed Duster's life forever.

After all, Duster was supposed to have lived with a Special Ranked Bloodline.

But now, that Bloodline had increased rank tremendously.

*Cough* cough*

Duster coughed as life was suddenly restored to his eyes.

The moment he opened them, he saw Gray.

A sudden wave of emotion washed over him.

After all, he thought he had lost his big brother.

He jumped into a hug.

Gray paused a bit. It was only now that he realized that he had actually just saved the life of Werewolf, of a Supernatural creature.

However, it did not feel as bad as he thought it would.

Subconsciously, he found his hands move.

This was action he had never done before. His fingers wrapped around Dusters body and he hugged back dearly.

He suddenly felt another person hold him from behind.

He did not even need to turn before he knew it was Cherry.

This feeling, this moment, he did not know how to explain it.

But it felt good. It felt really good.

Held them both in his embrace.

However, he suddenly felt something wrong.

It was a kind of detachment steaming right from his bloodline.

Duster also felt it.

Both of them looked at one another.

"Father! He is being dethroned." Duster muttered.

"Shit!" Gary cursed as he turned in a particular direction.
