Chapter 170 - Day off

Hearing the noise at the entrance, the other guard came out to investigate only for the man to hit him full in the face, knocking him out instantly and leaving him with a completely mangled face.

With no more obstacles in his way, the man entered the brothel. The guard that the man had thrown into the street quickly ran to his wounded companion. Seeing that the latter was unconscious, he got up and was about to enter the brothel.

"Wait" said Nathan having reached the entrance.

"What do you want!" shouted the guard as he was stopped by Nathan. "Stay out of it!"

"Do you want to die?" asked Nathan, to which the guard was visibly stunned.

"Call the soldiers for help and ask for an ambulance for your partner. I'll take care of the man" Nathan said looking seriously at the guard, who bit his lip and quickly nodded as he pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number.

Nathan entered the brothel leaving the guard behind and although he didn't know where to go, he simply followed the trail of destruction the man had made.

'That's my hero' Amelia muttered.

'I'm no hero' Nathan thought. 'I just want to know what happened to that man in the alley'

Nathan made his way to the inner room of the brothel following the man's destruction and screams. He finally found him holding the same woman by the neck who had thrown him out earlier.

"I told you, you fucking bitch!" the man shouted angrily. "You'll listen to me from now on!"

The man's face was completely filled with the black veins that were now appearing on the arm with which he was holding the woman. She was instead trying to hit the man who was preventing her from breathing.

Around them, there were several other women and several frightened customers watching the situation. Nathan looked at all of them and could not feel the essence of any of them.

Finally, taking advantage of the fact that the man had not noticed him, he ran towards him and hit him in the abdomen, sending him flying towards an empty table nearby, destroying it. The woman began to fall, and Nathan gently grabbed her, leaving her on the floor while she coughed.

The man rose angrily from the wreckage of the destroyed table and looked at Nathan. "How dare you!"

Filled with madness, the man ran towards Nathan trying to throw a punch at him. Nathan simply dodged the attack to the side and hit the man in the back again, sending him to the ground.

Quickly he stood on top of the man and grabbed his arm and put it behind his back. Once the man was restrained, he tried to struggle to free himself, but Nathan simply held him effortlessly.

The man shouted dozens of curses at Nathan, but Nathan simply held him still.

Between the man's screams, the woman approached Nathan. "...Thank you very much"

Nathan looked back at her and nodded. "You're welcome"

"What happened to him?" The woman looked at the man with a disgusted expression.

Nathan looked at the man and denied. "I don't know. What kind of problem did he have with you?"

"He's just another ungrateful customer" the woman said in disgust. "He didn't follow the rules and we forcibly ejected him"

Nathan nodded as he restrained the man. Suddenly Nathan felt the essence in his hands begin to go out of control. Making him unintentionally let go of the man.

Once free of Nathan's grip, the man was able to get up, but instead began to writhe on the ground as he screamed in pain.

"W-what's wrong with him?" asked the woman affected by the man's screams.

Nathan again controlled the essence that had gone out of control in his hands and frowned at the man. "I don't know..."

'I felt the same thing as if I was close to Erina' Nathan thought, confused as to what was happening to the man.

"AAAARGHH! GET IT OFF ME!" the man shouted as he writhed on the ground.

Nathan just stared at him as he watched his mouth and eyes begin to bleed black blood. Then, finally after almost half a minute of continuous screaming, the man abruptly stopped.

"H-he's dead!" the woman screamed as she covered her mouth and tears streamed down her cheeks.

Nathan stared at the man in confusion and suddenly heard a group of people running toward where they were from the entrance.

Then, a group of four men dressed in patrol suits arrived towards the scene and watched everything carefully for a couple of seconds before they noticed the man's limp body and Nathan in front of him.

"Put your hands up!" shouted one of the men pointing a gun at Nathan.

Nathan sighed and put his hands up avoiding any kind of trouble. The man walked over to him and put handcuffs on him while the other soldiers approached the man's corpse.

"What happened here?" asked one of the soldiers looking at the man's body.

The soldier who had put the handcuffs on Nathan took a look from afar at the corpse and then looked at Nathan seriously. "Where is your ID?"

"In my right pocket..." Nathan answered, waiting for the man to search him.

He pulled out his wallet and then his ID only to be slightly stunned. The man slowly lifted his head and looked at him in confusion. "You work at the royal mansion?"

Nathan nodded his head slightly. The man's eyes widened in surprise, and he removed Nathan's handcuffs a second later.

"Sorry for the misunderstanding" the man looked back down at the corpse. "We'll need you to follow us to explain what happened"

Nathan sighed and nodded.

Minutes later, the ambulance and other soldiers arrived while Nathan climbed into a car and was surely taken to a base to make statements.

Once he was seated in the car, he looked out of the window and sighed. 'Here goes my day off...'

Once the car left the scene, from the alley where the man had entered and exited, someone watched as the man's corpse was loaded into an ambulance and taken away.

There was a click of disgust and seconds later the alley was again completely empty.
