"Are you sure you don't have a system?" The man named Tenma's white-gloved hands were trembling with frustration.
"Very sure." Jaden responded, lying effortlessly. It was easy to lie when you dearly wished it to be the truth. "I'm just an ordinary businessman, so can you leave us alone?"
"Hey Tenma, can I just kill them anyways?"
"Definitely not."
It seemed as though Jaden had got them out of this situation quite easily. Sofia put her gun away. Enough stretching their legs, he would happily spend the rest of the flight in silence safe in their cabin!
And then Tenma continued to speak.
"Whatever, if we can't find our targets let's clean up this whole filthy plane. Let's kill everyone."
Hold on! Jaden had thought he was the reasonable one!
Tenma threw his gloves off and pulled on a new pair. "Even the air here is dirty."
Borger Porker looked confused. "But Tenma, I thought we were supposed to leave one of them alive?"
Tenma tried to smile, but it was honestly more like a grimace. "If they really have that system, they won't die so easily."
Jaden very much did not want to find out if that was true.
It appeared Sofia was thinking the same thing. Her gun had appeared again, only this time it had three gun barrels so it could hit the three men at the same time.
It was a rather ridiculous gun, if Jaden had to be honest.
"That will not be happening. I am Sofia Jensen, and I have been given the 'Sharpshooter System'. The passengers will not die today, only you will."
Borger Porker let out a low hollow laugh that sounded more like a cough. "Ha, ha ha, You can try, but then you won't be able to find the bomb, ha ha ha."
Bomb!? This was the first he had heard of that!!
Sofia didn't even twitch. "Then I will kill the other two."
Sofia shot two piercing blue lasers in one quick flash. However, Tenma and Viv countered just as quickly.
Viv did a cartwheel out of the door to the main passageway. They could just barely hear his voice echoing down the hallway: "I'm gonna start the killing now~~!"
This was a terrible situation. Jaden thought situations couldn't get much worse than the time he had spilled hot coffee on his boss. But this, as much as he didn't want to admit it, was much worse.
Sofia grabbed his wrist. She turned red and stumbled as their skin made contact.
People are going to die and that's what makes you panic!!??
She whispered, her voice flustered: "I have a plan."
She really was cold and calculating.
"In one hour we enter Philippines Airspace. Crisanto Cruz will come to defend this plane. Until then, we must prevent any death. You know martial arts, yes? Chase down that child. I will stop these two."
Hold on, woman! Just because he took down a thug and a cockroach doesn't mean he can stop an assassin kid!! Set your expectations lower, please!
"Am I correct that you are a martial artist?" Sofia sounded unsure now.
Jaden supposed she would love to protect him. She was that sort of woman.
It was not the worst idea, he could sit down and finish up the accounts due next week while she fought. He would do his job and she could do her's.
He was not that pathetic! Let a woman die while he took a nap?
"That's right, I've been training for this. Leave it to me." Jsden looked a lot more confident than he felt.
Sofia's face absolutely collapsed into a bright red blush. "Ahhh..uhhh…I suppose I can rely on you…but…I'm not impressed or anything!"
She never did change.
Sofia claimed she was not impressed, but someone else was.
[Universal Emperor Status: The Beginning]
Hello System, haven't heard from you in a while. Was that how this went? Every time Jaden did something kind of cool, he became more of an universal emperor?
Or something like that.
He chased Viv down the hallway. He could hear the pulsing sounds of a truly terrifying fight behind him. He hoped Sofia was strong enough to stall the two men for long enough.
He hoped they didn't have any bugs to throw at her.
He finally caught up to Viv who was hopping down the airplane aisle, knives in his hands and his mouth.
Actually, he had so many knives Jaden didn't even know how he was holding all of them.
The passengers were terrified, cowering in their seats. The more scared they got the more hyped Viv was.
"Hey, Vivil. Pick on someone your own size. Oh wait! That would be a child."
Vivil stopped walking. His hands fell down to his sides. His voice lost its bubbly charm. "Who just called me Vivil?"
Now he had really done it.
There were 55 more minutes until they reached Philippine Airspace.
