Chapter 20 - What's your problem?

Dominick engaged in conversations with his clients, discussing their projects and exchanging pleasantries.

As the party progressed, Hyacinth couldn't help feeling a bit bored. The atmosphere reminded her of a previous party they had attended together. She stood beside Dominick, the couple attracting attention as they entered the party, looking like a prince and princess.

Dominick noticed Hyacinth's slight restlessness and gently leaned towards her. "Is everything alright?" he asked, concern evident in his eyes.

"This party is reminding me of our last celebration. I'm just feeling a little nostalgic," Khushi admitted, leaning closer to him.

Dominick placed a comforting hand on her back. "I understand, but let's make the most of tonight. We can create new memories together," he reassured her, his voice filled with love and understanding.

With Dominick reassuring words, Hyacinth smiled, feeling truly blessed to have someone like him by her side. As the night continued, they enjoyed the company of their friends, making memories that would last a lifetime.

The two couples enjoyed each other's company, dancing and laughing throughout the party. Finally, Mrs Donna cut a seven step cake and everyone wished him a happy birthday. When the party came to an end, Dominos called out to his wife, Hyanne

. Both couples turned and laughed again.

"It was nice meeting you all. I really enjoyed your company. If you were not here, my husband would have bored me to death," Hyanne expressed her gratitude to Hyacinth.

"Same here. We should meet again," Hyacinth added.

They bid each other farewell and went their separate ways. Dominick asked Hyacinth if she had enjoyed the party. "Yes, but now I am so tired," Khushi replied.

"Don't worry, you can come in late to the office," Dominick reassured her. He didn't ask her to take a leave because he knew that after her return, he wouldn't want her to leave again.

"Mrs Donna was overly friendly towards both of you," Hyacinth mentioned.

"Oh no, it was not like that. We were just old friends, that's why there was nothing more to it," Dominick explained.

"I wish, but it's final that I won't tolerate her presence if she tries anything," Hyacinth said firmly.

Both of them were happy to have met each other and were ready to move forward in their own lives. As they made their way home, they reflected on the evening and the lessons they had learned about true love and the importance of cherishing those you care about.

Next day, Hyacinth joined the office at her usual time. Dominick felt a sense of ease whenever he caught sight of her cabin. Last night, he made a plan with his friend Dominos at the party, and now he was ready to put it into action. Sitting in his cabin, he called out to her.

"Yes, sir..."She answered.

"Please give the advertisement in the newspaper for a personal secretary needed for me."

Her surprise was evident as she responded, "But sir, what about me? Isn't that my role?"

Dominick interrupted, "I think you can handle my office, but I also need occasional assistance with other matters at my place... Hear me out. As we are about to launch our new brand, there will be a lot of work to do there, and I don't have anyone to help me."

She hesitated, knowing well that she didn't want another girl near him. Although forgiveness seemed distant, the thought of someone else in his apartment was simply unacceptable. "What do you say, sir? You should have informed me earlier. I can manage this for you."

Dominick, teasingly, responded, "Are you sure? I'm confident in raising your salary for the overtime."

She reassured him, "It's part of my job, sir. I will take care of it."

"Now, please bring the coffee in my mug without exchanging it. I prefer to keep my things to myself and not share them with others," he said, his words carrying a double meaning. Realizing the innuendo, she replied, "Okay... and, yeah, sorry for the exchange that day." With those words, she went to make his coffee.

As she prepared his coffee, she discussed going to his home from the following day with her friend Jubilee.

"He called you to his home?" Jubilee inquired immediately as Hyacinth told her.

"Yes, we are going to be working on our new brand. That's why," Hyacinth replied.

"But be careful, Hya. Don't let him hurt you again," Jubilee warned her.

"I will take care of that. I just can't bear the thought of him working closely with any other girl," she confessed.

Jubilee teased her, saying, "Oh, you're a possessive type of lover, huh?"

"God, Jubilee, you're crazy," Hyacinth chuckled blushing hard.

"And you're a crazy lover." Jubilee added.

Their playful banter continued as they engaged in a pillow fight.

...

Next morning, Hyacinth was getting ready for the office when her eyes fell on an sexy revealing shirt with straps with a beautiful shade of red. She decided to wear it, thinking it would be a nice change. She tied her hair up in a ponytail, completing her professional yet stylish look.

As she reached the office, she took off her coat since the office was centrally heated. She didn't need it, but she noticed everyone staring at her. Confused, she wondered if it was because she was wearing an the shirt She went to report to Dominick in his cabin, and on the way, he also noticed people staring at her. After assigning her the tasks for the day, he noticed the reason for the stares. A strap at her back was open, exposing her back a bit, and she seemed completely unaware of it. Dominick felt frustrated at the people who stared, and he also wanted to express his frustration to her for her carelessness.

He got up from his chair and approached her before she could leave. He took out her hairband, causing her hair to fall down her back. "What the hell is this, sir?" she shouted.

"Ask yourself," Dominick replied sternly. "You're so irresponsible that you don't even know what you're doing and how others are perceiving it."

She attempted to tie her hair again with the band, but Dominick grabbed it and threw it in the trash can.

"What's your problem?" she asked balantly.
