In the forest's depths, countless small red bulbs shone in the mist.
They shone when the moonlight hit them; they were stuck on top of strange monsters.
Towering at two meters, their massive, treelike forms stood like living sentinels; each had a human-like face, and their heads were crowned with a vibrant mane of leaves in striking red and lacking hues.
There were dozens of them charging at a group of young demons. With their advantage in numbers, they had been able to push them back.
The group of students struggled to face them. It was not because they were weak, but because they were outnumbered.
