The sound of music was his only companion when the night seemed to drag on.
The light from the expensive lanterns around the living room were creating such a sultry atmosphere while he sat in the comfortable chair, legs extended and feet resting on the nearby coffee table, humming to the music, fingers snapping to accompany the rhythm while a cup of amber liquid was in the other hand resting against the armrest.
"I thought...you weren't gonna drink tonight…"
Jeongguk turned his head around, smiling wide when he saw his husband, clad in a flimsy camisole while his favorite shawl was on his shoulder, eyes wide and taking in the tableau painted beneath his eyes.
The raven haired CEO chuckled and beckoned his husband closer with a flick of his hand.
"Just a bit before sleep...y'know I like it that way…"
Taehyung smiled and walked to his husband, gently taking the cup away from his hand.
"You promised you won't do it again, didn't you? You promised you'll drink tea instead.
-'Tis a new bottle of whiskey I got from a generous client though..
-So? We said no more alcohol during the night for you.
-Tae…
-C'mon. Let's watch the stars together instead of you getting drunk. There's a beautiful moon tonight."
Jeongguk huffed and glared playfully at his husband who smiled innocently.
"You love me, right Tae?
-Of course! I love you so much it hurts sometimes."
Jeongguk smiled and stood up, hands around his lover's hips, kissing his forehead before he would follow him to the roof when they'll spend the night stargazing.
…...
Did they?
…..
...
..
.
Did they stargaze?
Did they kiss under the moonlight, cuddled under the blanket, exchanging I love yous?
Did they speak softly and rationally?
Did Taehyung really smile softly with love and tenderness?
.......
.....
….
..
.
….Did Jeongguk accept for his cup of whiskey to be taken away with no fuss?
…
..
.
Did he?
Did you Jeonggukie?

He woke up with a jolt, looking around frantically, panting and terrorized.
But he calmed down after seeing that he was still in the small museum called Silent Hill Historical Society, alone and safe. He breathed deeply, willing his heartbeat to calm down and he sat up, wincing when he realized he slept without even seeing if he had wounds to tend to.
Jeongguk pressed his back to the nearest wall, groaning when he realized his entire body was protesting against the smallest movement. He first took a look at his left forearm, since it was stinging the most. He groaned in annoyance when he saw some of the sleeve was ruined, holes made from the acid that had sprayed the coat before. The wound wasn't too deep, but there were some angry red spots over his forearm, right when the fabric of his sweater had dissolved.
He also found some iron shards had scraped his knees and thighs, his hands were scraped too when he had rolled on the ground. So he took his first aid kit, tending to his wounds with some alcohol and ointment before using a bandage over his forearm since it was the most damaged for now.
For now. Just thinking about the monsters lurking and that Pyramid Head waiting to kill him had him sweating in terror. He wasn't stupid, he knew he was going to collect more wounds and was going to suffer more as he was going to progress through the town.
But he shook his head. No, he is going to find his Tae and get him home as soon as possible and no monster, no matter how terrible or dangerous they were, is going to get in his way and stop him.
Filled with new determination, Jeongguk stood up and collected his backpack and coat. Upon closer inspection, he saw that the left sleeve was very damaged but the coat was still going to be useful so he tucked it in the backpack, grabbed his flashlight and resumed his mission.
But….seeing he was still here, his curiosity got him to inspect the place, since it wasn't too big anyways, and try to see if he can find something useful. Especially since this place contained Silent Hill's history, maybe it could explain those monsters. Maybe it could explain why everything seemed so fucked up in this town.
And his thoughts were reinforced when he saw the painting that was right across from himself, even if it made him break into cold sweat.
It looked like an old one, oil medium, and wasn't colorful since it was only in earthy colors and hues of black and copper rusty red. It had a single figure in the middle, standing amidst what looked to be cages hanging from the roof, containing what looked to be bags… body bags if he thought right since one of those cages had what looked to be human legs dangling from it.
The painting was called "Judgment" and the figure in the middle was Pyramid Head.
Jeongguk swallowed thickly, trying to remain calm since the memory of Pyramid Head was still very vivid in his mind. He walked closer to the painting, to read the information below it.
"Judgment, Oil on canvas, Silent Hill"
No name of the artist, no year. But the little square where information should be had one sentence.
"The lost souls shall return, the Reaper shall execute their Judgment"
"Damn...sounds eerie enough to drive anyone from this town."
Jeongguk decided to search around and get some answers, moving carefully and keeping his gun ready, flashlight illuminating the way as he inspected the place. Nothing out of the ordinary for now, no monsters lurking and certainly not Taehyung or his shadow to be seen.
He got to a big room, guessing it must be an exhibition of some sort because he saw what looked to be a wooden model of the entire town. He stopped to admire it, looking so neat with small figures and highlighting the town's attractions. He couldn't help but smile, recalling how he visited the town with his lover, how they were so happy in this little place, secluded from the world, the haven of their love. His eyes went to the form of the park, Rosewater Park, where Tae loved to go so he could feed the ducks and play around in the fields of beautiful roses, chasing around children with loud laughter.
A tear escaped his eye, trailing on his cheek as he recalled Taehyung's love for kids and how happy he had been. Oh how he wished they would have remained together and had their own children. He would've loved to dedicate his time to their kids, devoted to his small family. Nothing else mattered.
Really? Did it?
Jeongguk blinked, looking around in confusion and a small amount of fear. Again with those thoughts that seemed to come from someone else. It was creeping the hell out of him and he didn't like the idea of someone possibly messing with his brain. So he ignored it, and focused on the task at hand. He came to a stop next to the live model of the town and read the information provided.
"The origin of the town remains a bit of a mystery since no accurate document depicts the reason and the methods of its founding. However, recent studies came to confirm that the town of Silent Hill was built upon the remains of an old field that had been classified as Indian territory. The hill where it was built had been seized by the British after resistance from the Indians who called this place a sacred hill of their ancestors. They called it "the Place of Lost Souls"."
At this point, Jeongguk was feeling a throb from the wound on his temple and he stopped a bit, closing his eyes to ease the pain away. He was getting more interested in the historical origin of this town and wanted to know more, but the throbbing wound was giving him a headache and it was annoying. He focused once more and continued reading.
"This hill was considered sacred per Indian custom and tradition, stories of "The Place of Lost Souls" find origin within Indian mythology where legends speak of a mystic domain located on a hill, considered to be the property of a legendary being that the Indians refer to as a "Devil". It is said that the Hill attracts certain people whose souls are lost and in need of redemption, wherein the Devil would judge and execute their destiny. Silent Hill is said to have been built upon what was thought to be this Hill after violent opposition from the natives who spoke warnings against the british.
"Beware the Devil if you steal his garden"".
Jeongguk gasped in pain as the throb intensified, feeling like a hot blade went through his skull. He pressed on his temples and swayed to the sides, suddenly feeling lightheaded.
"Beware the Devil if you steal his Garden….for he who dares step where he belongs not, faces his deepest demons…"
"Fuck! Get out of my head!! Who the fuck are you???"
Jeongguk grunted in pain, hearing those eerie words spoken in his head added to the intensity of his headache and his back collided with a nearby wooden bookshelf, stumbling and falling on the floor, still pressing on his temples. It was getting unbearable, but his blurry eyes caught a written line on the wood right in front of him, carved on the wooden support of the live model of Silent Hill that he had been admiring.
"The lost Soul shall face its own demons, judged by the Reaper, called for atonement."
He screamed as the pain felt like splitting his head in two. A whisper loud as thunder was in his ears.
"Jeonggukie….Beware the Devil if you steal his Garden…."
That's when he blacked out.

Jeongguk turned his head around, smirking wide when he saw his husband, clad in a flimsy camisole while his favorite shawl was on his shoulder, eyes wide and taking in the tableau painted beneath his eyes.
The raven haired CEO chuckled and beckoned his husband closer with a flick of his hand.
"Just a bit before sleep...y'know I like it that way…wa's wrong with a bi' of whiskey, baby??"
Taehyung smiled but it looked strained and wary and slowly approached his obviously drunk husband, gently taking the cup away from his hand.
"You promised you won't do it again, didn't you? You promised you'll drink tea instead."
But he yelped in pain when Jeongguk's strong hand closed around his wrist, carefully taking his cup back as he smirked wider and said coldly.
"'Tis a new bottle of whiskey I got from a generous client baby… your pretty hands shouldn't go on it since we don't want that pretty skin to be hurt, hum?
-J..Jeongguk…
-Tsk, tsk, tsk. How many times do I need t'repeat? 'Tis not how you call me, doll."
Taehyung whimpered when he felt a rough hand slap his ass, squeezing and kneading the flesh underneath the flimsy camisole before pinching too hard.
"S-Sir! Sir I'm so-sorry!
-Sorry now when you made m'drink sour?"
Jeongguk chuckled, placing his cup on the side so he could grab at his husband's ass with both hands, delivering harsh slaps to the voluptuous flesh.
"Sorry ain't gotta cut it baby. Y'know how I get...
-B-But…. W-We said no more alcohol during the night for you."
Jeongguk's entire demeanor changed and he pushed his husband suddenly, ignoring his pained yelp as he fell on the cold floor right by the foot rest. He stood up and glared harshly at the whimpering beauty, quickly grabbing his unfinished cup of whiskey.
"Think y'can order me 'round? Think y'can do as you want??
-J-Jeong-...
-How many times do I need to say that IT'S NOT HOW YOU FUCKING CALL ME!!!!"
Taehyung flinched harshly, hands hiding his ears as he squeezed his eyes shut. Jeongguk threw the cup mere centimeters away from the poor trembling Tae who yelped and shivered badly. The raven haired man huffed and took the entire bottle, chugging a good amount before he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, standing above his whimpering husband, towering over him.
"How do you call me?
-S-Sor-...
-No. How the fuck do you call me, bitch?"
Taehyung bit back a sob and threw himself at his husband's feet, forehead against his expensive leather shoes and cried out.
"Sir. I'm so sorry Sir! I'll never do it again Sir, please I'm so sorry Sir, please, please!!
-Get up.
-Sir please…
-I said get.up. Do it before I run out of patience."
Taehyung stood up, shivering, eyes swimming in unshed tears, arms around himself while looking down and not daring to meet his husband's eyes. Jeongguk racked his eyes up and down his shivering lover, licking his lips as he took in the sexy sight.
"Strip. Take it all off.
-Si-sir please…
-Y'dont get it, do ya? You really want t'test me do ya?"
Taehyung sobbed and with trembling hands, pushed the flimsy straps of the camisole to the sides, letting the silk fabric fall off, standing all bare in front of his drunk and amused husband, resisting the urge to cover himself up. Jeongguk sat down on his chair, humming while drinking more whiskey from the bottle, gesturing for the shivering beauty to come close until he was standing mere centimeters away. The ravenette reached his hand out, absently trailing his fingers over the beauty's stomach down to his belly button while he continued drinking. His fingers caressed the sensitive flesh under his lover's bellybutton, trailing down and staying right in between his trembling legs.
And then suddenly, he shoved three fingers inside, past his velvety folds, ripping a pained yelp from his crying husband.
"You wanna act like a bitch, I'll treat ya like a bitch. Next time I tell ya somethin' y'do it and without whimperin' like a slut, get it?
-Y-Yes Sir…
-What are you then?
-A d-dumb s-slut...A dum-dumb bitch for Sir…
-Good."
Jeongguk stood up and took another chug from the bottle before kissing his crying husband's forehead.
And dumping all the alcohol on his head.
He chuckled, drunk out of his mind as he watched Taehyung squeeze his eyes shut and cry silently.
"A very tasty drink indeed….tastes better if I lick it all over ya though…"
He went to a small cabinet in the living room, taking another bottle from it before unbuckling his belt. Upon hearing it, Taehyung's cries became harsher and he shook his head no.
"No..No please no no please not the belt I'm sorry! I'm sorry!!!
-A man's gotta teach his whore not to misbehave.
-J-Jeonggukie please please don't do it...You're drunk you don't know what you're doing, please stop, please!
-SHUT UP BITCH!!! DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!!"
Taehyung screamed, hiding behind the chair while Jeongguk swayed around drunkenly, stomping with the belt in his hands as he tried to get his husband. He was still drinking, while Taehyung cried and screamed at him to stop hitting him.
When the bottle crashed to the ground with Jeongguk too drunk to even remember his name, he crumbled on the floor, right by his twitching husband.
"You love me, right Tae? Y'love me...right b-baby?"
the world was twirling around in a mess of hazy colors and lights, sounds were muffled as the drunk man struggled to stay conscious. He needed to hear it. He can't sleep if he doesn't hear his angel telling him that before he closes his eyes.
Taehyung struggled to sit up, back and rear too raw to allow him much movement. And yet he crawled till he could help his husband, holding his shoulders so he can place his head on his lap. Their eyes met and Taehyung smiled wide despite the tears falling on his cheeks, seeing Jeongguk smiling dreamily, eyes unfocused.
"Of course! I love you so much it hurts sometimes."
Jeongguk smiled wide, already so gone in his drunk state and closed his eyes, repeating "yay he loves me" as he started snoring.
He didn't know Taehyung stayed up all night, caressing his hair and crying.
"I love you so much it hurts."
Because it did hurt. All his body hurt, not just his heart.
