Chapter 47 - 042: Gaining Profit pt.2

'Is that secret realm so good?' She muttered to herself but didn't think about asking Roch to bring her there.

She knew her situation, even though her skills and equipment were very good, the enemies would surely be at the Foundation Building Realm. Those nobles will not be inferior to her in techniques and artifacts, so she doesn't have any advantage at all.

Zemirah felt it was a pity, it was like seeing a treasure trove in front of her but having no right to touch it.

'Whatever, I'm not short of resources anyway. Just do my own business and go home. Wendy must be anxiously waiting for me now.'

Thinking of this, she finally sighed in relief.

Zemirah drinks the beer in her hand in relish before finding an inn to stay for the night.

Since the secret realm was newly discovered, many people from other places came to the Azure Oak City. Various inns are full and finding a decent place to stay for the night is quite difficult.

Zemirah was about to see if there were any residents who were willing to rent a room for one night when she suddenly felt that her Yin Yang Star Bracelet moved.

Using her spiritual consciousness, she looked inside the small space of the bracelet and saw a letter. It was from Roch who she lost contact that morning.

Opening the letter, she read his message.

'Blue Fang Street, 104 courtyard.

This is my private property here.

You can go if you have no place to stay.

Its safe.'

Zemirah smiled in her heart at his message and didn't hesitate anymore. Following the map she bought, she smoothly found the address of Roch's courtyard.

The courtyard was twice the size of her courtyard in the Teal River Town, with its tall walls and the formation hiding the interior from outsiders.

Zemirah didn't have a token to enter the formation but as she knock on the gate, it opened at the first touch. She instantly knew that the man must've already made preparations for her stay here.

Looking at the already dark sky, Zemirah pushed open the gate and entered the courtyard. There are no other living person inside, so Zemirah took the liberty to find herself a room.

She found the master's bedroom but she didn't enter it and went to the guest room. The bed was clean and new, she checked the room and found no anomaly so she lay in the bed with peace of mind after cleaning up.

Zemirah has no intention of cultivating, she's tired both physically and mentally, and resting is the only thing in her mind at the moment.

Before falling asleep, she sent back a letter to her lover using the same method he used, the space of Yin Yang Star Bracelet.

'I arrived safely in the City,

But there are no inns available for stay,

I'll stay at your house for the night.

Keep safe.'

It was simple, but it was enough to express her thoughts. With this, she closed her eyes and finally rested.

What Zemirah didn't know is that Roch's journey was not as smooth as hers. He have a sensitive identity, especially at the current situation.

Although his family's influence in the region is the greatest among the others, the remaining families are not simple either.

The Azure Oak City was now like a den of mixed bags, both his enemy and allies are silently confronting each other. Although there are no big fight that erupted, assassinations as not few.

Roch noticed the observing eyes the moment here stepped into the city gate, he was confident with his strength but he did not forget to put on a disguise. His white robed was changed into a black one, he carried a great sword in his back and the gentleman image was changed into a ferocious casual cultivator who entered the city to gamble with his life.

He did not go to the meeting place he set for his subordinates but went to a gathering place of cultivators where information can be easily collected. From the market to the tavern, Roch wandered around until he saw his lover.

Zemirah, seating alone with a beer in hand, she sipped slowly the yellow liquid and narrowed her eyes to enjoy the aftertaste. This look of her enthralled the man again, like the other times he saw her.

Roch thought that his information gathering is enough so he sat not far from her and watched her quietly. When he saw some people with evil intentions, even those who only dared to look, he made a move to kept them away.

His always hidden calligraphy brush appeared in his hands, then he slowly drew some hidden characters under the table.

Blind.

Pain.

The two words glistened with gold but no one noticed it, only the few people who was attacked felt their eyes blinded and pain crawled on their bodies.

After that, he followed Zemirah looking for an inn to stay and found her dilemna so he sent her a letter informing her of his place.

Only after seeing her enter the gate did he finally sighed in relief, which he did not notce that he had been holding back, and went to do what he came in the city for.

He went to the gathering place he set, but on the way there, he was ambushed. A group of cultivators using weapons such as sword and arrows attacked him. Their method are common fo casual cultivators, but Roch doesn't think so.

The array formation set in the surroundings was already something those casual cultivators can't get easily.

He knew that this people must've been sent by those noble families, coming after his life. With this thought, he spoke, "Who sent you? Lackeys from Skyjade or Heartsound?"

No one from the assassins spoke, their attacks was getting fiercer so Roch finally revealed some of his cards. Using the great sword behind his back, he used an ice-type sword technique, Frost Storm Blade Technique, together with his special physique, it deflected all the incoming attacks.

"Or is it from the Voidink?"

The whisper full of snow and ice sounded in the ears of the people inside the array formation.
