Chapter 48 - 043: Fight of Ice pt. 1

Inside the enclosed barrier of an array formation, a different scene was playing inside.

The whole place turned into a world of ice and snow, with white feather snow falling from the sky, blue ice stakes emerging from the ground, and freezing sword energy attacking the assassins from all sides.

Thirteen assassins dressed in a simple black robe with their faces hidden behind a farmer's hat and cloth covering their mouth. The person who sent them is obviously very cautious just looking at their tightly covered appearance.

"Attack!" A hoarse voice sounded from the leader of the assassins, leading the group to kill the target of the mission. They knew that this mission was very dangerous, especially since the man they were asked to kill was the infamous Killing Snow Prince of Whitelock House.

His methods are all top-notch, from the divine arts to the way of the sword and ice element affinity, no one dares to underestimate him. What chills his enemies to the bone is that his killing intent complements his techniques very well.

From his song and painting arts to his written characters and sword. If not for the missing chess technique tightly held by the Skyjade House, his four Divine Arts would be the embodiment of killing.

If Zemirah heard their thoughts, she would be puzzled because she knew that this man was also good at planting flowers that had nothing to do with killing, only endless vitality from the barren soil. The blooming sea of roses that was so beautiful is still a fresh memory in her mind.

"I'm in a hurry, so I won't play with you." The handsome face on the man has lost his usual gentlemanly facade, replaced by the indifferent expression he usually hid in his heart.

The sword in his hand moved like a surging wave of ice emitting chilling cold, and then a barrage of blue sword energy attacked the assassins near him. It didn't stop as he stepped like a phantom, shuttling through the group of assassins as the blade in his hand fell and blood splashed through the ground.

The assassins slowly dropped in number, until the last one had his waist cut in half. The scattered bodies in the snow-covered ground, bright red blood flowing like a river is a scene common in this kind of turbulent world.

Roch, who just killed people, waved away the blood in his sword, not wanting to taint his clothes. The crimson liquid fell to the white snow.

Drip, drip.

"You dare trap me in a barrier, its already quite smart of you. But you shouldn't have let me turn this place into my ice and snow domain." Roch murmured in his heart, he found the array formation disk and controlled the array.

After that, he took away his spoils to his space ring and then left silently without looking back at the bodies scattered on the ground. A few breaths later, someone looked at the dead corpses and then sighed in annoyance before leaving without a trace.

"The Young Whitelock Prince left."

"Not dead yet?"

"He became stronger."

"What a pity."

The sigh full of pity sounded in the alley.

Roch didn't leave any traces and came to the meeting place. Entering the small furniture shop, he nodded at the person keeping watch in the counter before walking straight to the door leading downstairs.

The people waiting inside immediately stood up after seeing the person who came in.

"Young master!"

The person's face was still indifferent, however, they didn't think much about it but their attention was attracted to the smell of blood emanating from the young man's body,

"Young master! Are you injured?" Martin, the subordinate who was with Roch but parted ways midway, spoke nervously.

Roch sat on the head of the table and spoke, "The blood is not from me, don't worry."

The people in the room sighed in relief, although they knew the strength of the young master, everyone also knew the power of the people who wanted to deal with him. If those people became really desperate, they might send all their high-level combat power regardless of consequences.

"Tell me the current situation on the front line and information about the new secret realm. Also, don't forget to find out the identities of suspicious people who were entering the Azure Oak City. In this period of time, we can't be careless."

"Yes, Young Master."

"According to our people in the border territory, Elemental Spirit Palace has already started moving while the nearby sects were in a confrontation with the army…"

"The people from the capital divined that this secret realm is related to the fallen ancient Spirit Forge Sect, comparable to the Elemental Spirit Sect at its peak. Many factions are starting to pay attention to the secret realm…"

"We already sent people to follow suspicious people and found spies from Carter Clan of Eternal Paint City, Yu Clan of End Fall City, and Ellis Family of Thousand Tune City. Currently, we have no evidence they're connected to the Skyjade House."

The subordinate reported as Roch read the detailed information handed, his expression indifferent that no one in the room could read what he was thinking. The only intuitive clue that made them understand this young master is the temperature of the surroundings that is slowly falling as time passes by.

This phenomenon was normal to Roch's subordinates but the cold they feel right now seems to pierce their bones with murderous intent. They didn't dare think too much but looked down as the place was occupied with the person reporting and pages turning.

"Collect more information about the Spiritual Forge Sect, we have to be the one to get the most benefit in this secret realm. Also, see if there are any trace of other Royal Houses involved with those people entering the city. Skyjade House doesn't need to move personally to get their goal, you must not forget their usual style of playing the world as their chessboard where everyone is a pawn."

The surrounding people fell silent at his words.
