Chapter 19 - MEDITATE

Riding down a slippery slope,

I go,

The hills in disbelief,

they stare at me.

An educated fool,

I run and jump,

My heels in frenzied dance,

they swiftly flee.

I look behind,

find solitude alone,

No one to congratulate or warn.

So,

in this moment,

I meditate,

As doom may come for those in misfortune's dawn.

The present unfolds in events unknown,

I knew myself back then,

but now I see,

I'm lost within the digital domain,

A loaded backpack filled with tools set free.

With word and shield,

I smite the foolish way,

Drawing my bow,

my aim is sure and keen,

Yet none are there to caution or to stay,

So,

once again,

I meditate unseen.

I speak in tongues,

a pure and mystic speech,

A flashback to the sermon's benediction. Peers call me cool,

to the masses,

I'm a reach,

In nature's embrace,

I find conviction.

I chase away the demons of the mind,

A sport for me,

a challenge to explore,

One day,

I'll vanquish them and leave behind

The smoke and mirrors,

meditating more.

My vision's vivid,

though obscured by glass,

Too bright for others,

so I chose to hide.

None want a lamp that's shining in their midst,

Like a rooster,

declaring the day with pride.

For masters seek the path to reach Zion's gate,

A few may taste the sweet rewards of pie. As we scramble eggs

pave a future's fate,

The disabled find strength,

their spirits high.

I smile beneath my hidden,

masked disguise,

Wings spread wide towards the endless sky. Though money buys acres and fleeting happiness,

It cannot purchase a ticket to Zion high.

Running on the hamster wheel of life's design,

I heighten my mind before I retire.

Riding this slippery slope,

I find my line,

So,

once again,

in meditation,

I aspire.
