Chapter 45 - Chapter 44: your daughter offended whom she is not supposed to

In a spacious office in the building of satellite media group, everywhere was in chaos as Mr. Roberts found himself in a state of shock and disbelief. His company's partnership, which had seemed rock-solid, was unraveling before his eyes. The connection abruptly cut off during a crucial meeting

"What! You're withdrawing your partnership with my company? But why?" Mr. Roberts exclaimed in frustration, not understanding why this was happening as he had not done anything to warrant this.

His secretary entered the room, sensing the urgency of the situation. "Boss, there's a call for you," she said, holding out the phone.

Taking a deep breath, Mr. Roberts picked up the phone. "Hello, this is Mr. Roberts speaking," he said, his voice filled with trepidation.

The voice on the other end of the line was stern and unyielding. "We are withdrawing our partnership with you," it declared, and before Mr. Roberts could respond or ask for an explanation, the line went silent, leaving him in shock.

As Mr. Roberts tried to make sense of what had just transpired, his friend entered the office, sensing the tension in the room.

"Let me guess," Mr Roberts said, looking downcasted, "you came to cancel your partnership with us."

Mr. Roberts sighed deeply, but his friend's next words caught him by surprise.

who did you offend ?

I did not offend anybody replied Mr Roberts as he started thinking about whom he might have offended

"I'm not talking about you," his friend clarified. "I'm talking about your daughter. I heard from a reliable source that it's because she offended some big shot that they wanted your company closed."

Mr. Roberts' anger flared, and it was evident on his face. He clenched his fists as he realized that his daughter's actions might have led to the downfall of their company.

"That stupid, good-for-nothing daughter of mine," he muttered with frustration. "Who did she offend this time around?"
