Looking at the dimly lit quarter Fenhua hesitated. He contemplated Susu's words for a while and spent the day taking care of other matters instead. As far as he knew her, she won't hide this matter from his parents. And if they knew ...it certainly won't be the best outcome, given he would also have to leave the camp soon enough to deal with the enemy army on the borders.
He pressed the bell, waiting patiently.
'Maybe she has fallen asleep.' He glanced at the closed door.
But not long after, it opened. She was standing, dressed in her casual home wear. Her hair cascading past her waist and her eyes were somewhat swollen. It looked as if she had already fallen asleep and just woke up due to the bell.
Looking at her raised eyebrows he felt a pang of guilt.
He thought she would ask him something, and maybe if she did he would have caved in. But she didn't. She just stood there, silently, waiting for him to speak.
