Through the glazing forest that was burning down, a man and a woman were running desperately. They looked behind from time to time, to see how far they had come and whether they were still hunting them down or not.
The woman was dressed in man's clothing. For practicality of moving her legs were covered with high knee boots that allowed her to run without worrying about numerous venomous creatures hiding in the long grasses.
"Let's hide somewhere nearby." The man spoke, holding the wrist of the woman.
"But what if they catch up?" The woman said, despite panting. Her face was filled with anxiety.
"They won't." The man responded.
Looking at his resolute expression, Lanying felt as if he was that safe shield that she could rely on without a doubt.
