The next moment was a blazing inferno as fire erupted from Bruce's body, searing Zane's hand and sending the room's temperature soaring to unbearable levels.
"What is this?! Is he a Malefica?!" one of the guardians exclaimed, rushing in, his eyes filled with horror.
"Luna, get out!" he shouted, reaching for me. But I didn't need further urging, and I sprinted past him, leaving Zane inside.
"Zane, come out!" I screamed desperately as I got outside, but it was too late. To my shock, the guardhouse became engulfed in flames, and I let out a terrified shriek, stumbling to the ground.
Zane was still trapped inside with Bruce, and without a further thought, I rushed back in, ignoring the protests of the guardians.
I found Zane on his knees, clutching his throat while Bruce remained wreathed in fire, and smoke. Remarkably, Bruce's clothing, hair, and skin remained untouched by the flames.
