but mixed with curiosity. "Andrew found some work here a day after you left. I had no idea you'd be here too!"
"Why did you leave, Una?" Ravenna asked, concern in her voice.
"Why didn't you come back? We were so worried about you. But Theo wouldn't let any of us leave the pack," I explained as I motioned for her to join Zane and me at our table.
"He did that?" I asked, my disbelief showing for a moment.
Shaking off my anger, I introduced Ravenna to Zane, who had been quietly observing our reunion. "Ravenna, this is Zane, my... well, my new mate." Introducing him stirred up a mix of emotions; the mate bond between us was unbreakable now.
Ravenna's eyes widened in surprise. "Your new mate?" She emphasized "new."
I nodded, understanding her confusion. "Yeah, Zane is my mate now."
