Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: Indifferent King Arion

"Are you Sure that this Is the true Sword Intent."

In the middle of a hall bathed in the warm and golden glow of the massive chandeliers on the ceilings, a man was sitting on a Throne made of expensive and powerful jewels and monster cores.

The grandeur of the hall was nothing less than the man sitting on the throne looking at a holographic screen, playing the clip of a teenage girl swinging her sword and a huge arc coming out of her sword.

"Yes your Majesty. It is directly confirmed by Duke Kurosaki that this is the real Sword intent."

A man stood beside the king wearing a formal outfit. He adjusted his glasses as he looked at the same screen, his thoughts unknown to anyone.

This was none other than the trusted advisor of King Arion, 'Thorne'. Thorne was sent to investigate the matters regarding the recent match in the arena that involved the Princess of the Kingdom, Luna Solunar.

But the reason He sent him for investigation was not due to the worry for his daughter but the reason behind the rapid rise of power in his talentless kids.

He has Already verified by himself that they do not have any powerful Ether ability and were fated to be powerless behind others and yet they suddenly gained so much power in a short time.

Even the shadow guard he sent to keep an eye on them went missing…

Silence hung in the room as Arion tapped his finger on the armrest of their throne and continued to ponder.

Thorne also did not dare to interfere in the middle of his thoughts.

"Who do you think has the best chance to win this championship?"

Arion broke the silence and leaned back onto the throne and closed his eyes.

Thorne, hearing his question, did not ponder too long and answered based on his analysis.

"If both the prince and princess continue to grow at this pace and this is truly their whole power, they won't stand a chance against Queen Erla."

"Hmm~" Arion did not seem to be too surprised by his analysis and opened his eyes to look at the brown haired man. He hummed in amusement and asked again.

"You mean that both the potential heir to the throne will die and Erla will win the championship?"

Hearing the question Thorne did not seem to be panicked and remained calm, he bowed a little in a formal way and responded.

"With all due respect, your majesty, Queen Erla is in a League of her own! No one stands a chance against her except you and Queen Seraphina. If someone thinks otherwise, that is just foolish and that person is courting death."

His voice contained a little reverence and admiration as he spoke about Erla. Arion also nodded in agreement.

Who can 'know' Erla better than him? He was her husband after all.

(A/N: does he truly think that He knows a thing about that woman? He-he, he is in for a surprise.)

Arion looked at the face of his daughter on the screen and asked, "Do you think she will spare the kids if she comes face to face with them."

This question stumped Thorne, he looked at Arion speechlessly.

'Does the King want to save his children…? No that's not possible, considering his nature he must be feeling that they have potential to grow into better useful weapons.' Thorne thought of several scenarios inside his mind within a span of a second and answered.

"I think she won't hesitate to kill them. Although Queen Elra tries to hide it she has deep resentment towards the kids and has killing intent towards them on several occasions." Thorne took a glance at the indifferent face of the king before adding, "it seems like she hates them for thwarting her plans."

Arion did not speak, hearing the words and the assessment of his wife. It seemed like he already knew everything about it and he also had the same thoughts as Thorne.

*Tap* *Tap*....

Arion tapped on the throne twice and a Shadow guard dawned in all black assassin like outfit appeared in front of them and kneeled on the ground.

"If the kids survive till the final match make sure to protect them against anything." Arion looked at the man indifferently and ordered. Hearing his order the man bowed before disappearing from the sight.

"What if they or one of them do not make it to the end of the final match…?" Thorne, who had been silent for a while, asked with curiosity.

Arion closed his eyes and leaned back on the Thorne while muttering, " then they shall face the cruelty of the world. They claim to love each other right. Let's see what they choose in the final match."

The coldness in his voice chilled the atmosphere in the room.

Hearing his words Thorne turned silent and did not speak anything.

After saying that Arion thought silently,

' There is no such thing as true love. There never was!!!'

"You can leave now, Thorne and prepare for the 'arrangements' I have given you." Arion ordered while keeping his eyes closed and the advisor left the room.

When he exited the room, he suddenly felt something and looked to the side of the hall. Seeing nothing there he shrugged and left in the other direction.

At the end of the hall, around the corner a flock of green hair moved and an enchanting woman with green eyes came out. Her eyes had a hint of coldness as she walked away in a different direction.

*woosh*

No one came to know about her presence or the fact that from how long she had been in that place.
