"It's Nice to meet you again Prince Keiran and Princess Luna." Ethan bowed a little while holding his plate in one hand. With a warm smile on his face he continued, "would you mind if I join you two?"
Keiran raised his eyebrows hearing the weird request from their 'enemy'. He turned to look at Luna for her opinion.
Seeing the look Luna just shrugged in response, she knew that even though they wanted to kill the man, this was not the place and the time to do so.
She had already marked him as a dead man in her mind. To her it was just a matter of time before they faced this man in the arena.
'There is no point in flaring against a dead man.'
Keiran also understood her thoughts and did not mind her overconfidence, it was because of the fact that just like how Ethan Bove was hiding his powers, they themselves have been doing the same.
Apart from that they are also getting stronger and stronger with each passing day.
Keiran turned to look back at the man waiting for their response and nodded before pointing towards an empty seat on the table.
Luna also shifted towards Kerian from her previous seat that was just opposite his own.
"Thank you." Without giving any thoughts to Luna's movements Ethan sat on the chair while placing his food on the table.
"So to what do I owe this pleasure, Mr.Bove?" Keiran asked while taking a sip of his hot espresso.
Luna also started cutting the pancakes in her plate to small bite size pieces.
Ethan smiled a little looking at the young kids in front of me before continuing, "It's Nothing, I just wanted to ask If you know who your next opponent is. I just got some news from my sources but silly me forgot that with your Identity it should not be that difficult to know about it."
He scratched his cheeks while laughing a little in an awkward manner.
Kerian also smiled a little seeing the act of the man in front of him.
'This man truly has a Knack for acting, if not for his aura full of hatred, anger and Sorrow, I would have bought his act.' Luna's voice made its way to Keiran's mind causing the boy to nod in agreement.
Seeing Keiran nod Ethan thought he was agreeing with his words and continued, "I must say you must be careful against that person Your highness, after all it's the point of your life."
"Tell me something Mr. Bove, why are you telling me this I am your opponent and a contender for the first Let alone you even or Luna might have to fight against each other to death. So what's the point of doing all this."
Keiran's words made Ethan a little shocked, he was not shocked by the question itself because he would have find the twins suspicious if they did not ask this question but what made him shocked was that the Prince who was rumored to be so overprotective of his sister was talking about her life and death like it was no big thing for her or him to die at each other's hands.
He was even further shocked to see that there was not even a moment of shock or change in Luna's graceful movement as if she had not heard her own lover talk about killing her.
'Did I make a mistake judging them? How is this even possible, they seem ready to face each other. No that's wrong they are ready to kill each other. Why?? don't they love each other? Is the love and affection they have shown till now false.'
His thoughts started to wander as he sat their on his seat.
"..ove...Mr. Bove?!"
A voice broke him out of his thoughts as the man shook his head to get rid of all of these useless thoughts.
"Yes? Pardon me for spacing out."
"You did not answer my Question Mr. Bove." Keiran did not say anything and just asked again, while glancing little at the man.
He could tell that he was shocked to hear him talking about facing Luna to death. He did not mind his enemy being confused about his personality.
Instead it would be better for him if his enemy was misguided.
Placing a piece of pancake in his mouth Keiran started to chew on it.
"*Cough* Ah Yes… Your Highness. I know what you mean. It's just that I have joined this arena to test my luck." Ethan took a sip of water from the glass to calm his mind and continued, "I come from an ordinary background. Unlike the noble family, I am just a little rich guy. So when I found a chance of becoming a Duke, I Took it."
His face gained a mocking look, directed at himself as he added. "I never thought that so many nobles and even the members of the Royal Family would join in on this battle. I think I am not that Lucky. He-he"
Seeing him and hearing his words Keiran rolled his eyes and added, "Get to the point Mr. Bove. I don't think You want me to pity you right…?"
Keiran finished his coffee and placed the cup on the table. He looked at the man opposite him with sharp eyes. Ethan also chuckled awkwardly hearing those words
In their world, there was no such thing as pity or helping the poor, everyone worked for their benefits. There were no beggars on the streets because no one was Willing to give away money for free.
There were only whores, slave traders, man gigolos and those who were raised as pigs. They weren't slaughtered but they were used to breed more people to work for the owners.
The women they used were either low level slaves or some kids they kidnapped.
Keiran knew the cruelty of their world and so did Ethan so him saying all these things did not mean much but Ethan was a cunning man who did not speak anything without any reasons.
Ethan's face turned a little serious as he looked at the boy sitting in front of him with a pleading tone.
"I have a plea, Your Highness. I hope you can listen to it."
