After a brief conversation with the mysterious man, Keiran and Luna returned to where Aiden was engaged in conversation with children from various noble families.
As they approached, Aiden noticed their return and stiffened.
He had never seen such unique and beautiful children before.
Their contrasting white and black hair complemented each other perfectly, and their eyes matched the color of their hair.
Their combination seemed as if they were meant to be together, complementing each other's very existence.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Keiran Solunar. If it's not too much trouble, I would like to take my brother away for a moment," Keiran's words brought the other children out of their initial shock, and they nodded in agreement.
"It's fine, Your Highness. You don't have to mind us," one of the adults present reassured them as he followed Keiran to a more private and quieter area.
"So, what were they asking about?" Keiran inquired. Aiden responded without thinking too much, "They just wanted to know what we do in our daily life and what you and Sister Luna are like. Honestly, their questions were odd, so I just gave them some random information."
Keiran sighed upon hearing those words, and Luna shook her head, Aiden sensing something wrong asked, "Hmm... What happened? Did I do something wrong?"
"No, you didn't do anything wrong," Luna reassured him. "It's just that these people want to know our insider information, and they see you as an easy target, so they were trying to get it out of you."
Aiden's eyes widened slightly as he was about to ask something, but Keiran stopped him before he could. "Now is not the time for these things. There are still many noble families left for us to meet."
"You can ask your mother about this after the party," Keiran patted his head, making the boy nod in agreement, but her words still lingered in his heart.
After their brief conversation, they headed toward where the rest of their family was.
However, before they could reach them, a slender lady intercepted them in the middle of their path.
She was dressed in a Chinese-style outfit which highlighted her ample assets, a red cheongsam that complemented her auburn hair, which was elegantly tied in a bun. Securing her hair in place was a phoenix hairpin made of high-quality jade.
Her eyes held a slight mischievous intent as she gazed at the three children.
Upon seeing her, Keiran's nose scrunched up, much like Luna's.
The repelling aura she emitted made them want to be anywhere but in front of her.
However, they noticed something peculiar about her aura. It seemed to conceal something.
They would need to be more proficient in using this power to be able to understand it more thoroughly.
"Pardon me for stopping you guys in between like this. I am Viscount Wang Shu, the head of the Wang family. You can call me Big sis Wang," hearing her words, realization dawned on the three kids.
They introduced themselves for the first time to the auburn beauty.
"Now, would you mind telling us the reason for stopping us in the middle like this?" hearing Luna's words, her lips twitched a little. But when her eyes fell on Keiran's gaze, she froze. The amount of coldness and indifference he was directing at her shocked her.
She had been used to people looking at her with lust-filled eyes or even obsession, but she had never seen such eyes except for the time she wanted to bury so deep in her memories.
Those white eyes that seemed to reflect the world in itself made her recall those scenes which made her breath quicken, while the cold face of a grown-up woman flashed in her mind.
Catching hold of herself, she looked back at the other boy who was blushing a little as he looked at her.
But somewhere in her heart, she was attracted to the raven-haired boy; something inside her was demanding her to strike back.
How dare he ignore the beauty who was the target of everyone's demand and attention? She was also surprised that a 5-year-old boy could look at her with that look.
"I just wanted to get to know the lovely prince and princess of the kingdom. You see, I love children," she spoke, unconsciously licking her lips, and Aiden felt a chill run up his spine.
Keiran and Luna's disgust increased upon hearing that. Her eyes for a brief moment locked onto Keiran, making Luna alarmed about her intentions.
Seraphina, far away, happened to gaze in their direction. Her body stiffened, and she hurriedly shook Erla to gain her attention, showing her the scene of the woman they hated the most interacting with their children.
Upon seeing this, both of them walked toward them at a measured pace, only to be stopped by people who wanted to talk to them.
They engaged in small talk and decided to excuse themselves under the pretext of checking on their children.
"I would love for you guys to come around and look through our area; we have some of the best weapon makers and craftsmen under our family. They would love to create something for you guys." As she spoke, she tried to reach out her hand to pat Keiran and Aiden on the head. Keiran's eyes turned colder, and the red-haired boy just stiffened visibly.
"Well, if it isn't Mrs. Wang…" Those words made her stop her hand, which was inches away from the boys, as her eyes turned cold for a second, only to return back to normal, but that was enough time for two of the kids to notice.
"I greet Your Highness Erla and Your Highness Seraphina." She bowed a little in traditional Chinese style to greet them.
"Please refrain from addressing me as Mrs. Wang; it makes me seem old, and I am already a widow." She chuckled as she spoke in a playful manner.
"But won't that be disrespectful to not use the title you have, Mrs. Wang?" The twins could practically see sparks flying in the air between Erla and Wang Shu.
"What were you guys talking about?" Seraphina decided to interject as she looked towards Keiran for answers.
"She was asking us for a visit in her territory," this made them internally sigh in relief, but the boy wasn't finished speaking, "and she was also telling us how she loves little kids of our age." His words were still emotionless, but only Luna and somehow Seraphina understood the playful tone well hidden in it.
