Chapter 37 - Kakashi

The next day, as Naruto awoke from his slumber, he found his Shadow Clones sound asleep. He couldn't help but glance at the table in the living room, where a pile of broken balloons revealed that his Shadow Clones had successfully completed the second stage of training during the night. They hadn't dissipated immediately but were waiting for the main body to awaken, ensuring that they didn't transfer their memories while he slept.

Naruto nodded in satisfaction and, with a thought, all the Shadow Clones turned into white smoke and vanished. Their activities during the night hadn't left him too fatigued, considering they'd gone to bed in the middle of the night.

A thought crossed his mind, an idea that seemed absurd at first. Could he use Shadow Clones to help himself sleep, allowing the main body to utilize the restful nighttime hours? It was an unconventional concept, but Naruto was willing to explore its potential.

Since Shadow Clones could pass their fatigue back to the main body, didn't it stand to reason that they could also take on the main body's need for rest? Physical rest wasn't necessary for his body, thanks to the powers of Ashura's Chakra, Nine Tails Chakra, and Six Paths. This allowed him to be in peak condition at all times and train without respite.

However, he realized that his physical fitness, gained through exercise, wouldn't return to its original state if he remained idle. His hard work would go to waste. It was tempting to stay in motion.

As the memories from the Shadow Clones streamed back to him, Naruto closed his eyes and quickly grasped the principles of the second stage. He was poised for the final stage.

"The next step is the third and final stage. Once I can break the ball, Rasengan is complete," he thought, a gleam of determination in his eyes. He was finally on the verge of mastering this eagerly anticipated technique, an accomplishment that would put him ahead of his father, Minato, who took three years to develop his own jutsu.

"Am I a genius? Well, even if I cheated," he pondered.

He couldn't ignore the influence of Kurama in his progress. It was Kurama's presence and their understanding of each other that gave him such a significant advantage. When he achieved the status of a perfect Jinchūriki in the original book and unlocked Kurama Mode, his Chakra control became extraordinarily precise. Theoretical knowledge and basic knowledge might still be a mess, but his intuition allowed him to control Chakra perfectly, even enabling Sage Mode, as seen in his battle with Madara.

But Naruto couldn't resist a playful jab at Kurama. "In fact, it's mainly Kurama's fault. You mess with my Chakra, and that's why my Chakra control isn't as good as it should be."

Kurama responded, "Then don't use my Chakra."

Naruto wasn't willing to give up this advantage. He grinned shamelessly, "That won't work. Besides, you have more Chakra than me at the moment, and you don't mess with me anymore. Just let me use it."

Kurama was left in bemused silence, almost wanting to ask him to stop using his Chakra.

This daily banter with Kurama had become a routine for Naruto, mainly because he didn't have anyone else to talk to. Quarreling with the Nine-Tails had, surprisingly, become one of the highlights of his day.

After a simple wash, Naruto turned his attention to preparing breakfast, which, as usual, consisted of a bowl of cup noodles.

While having breakfast, Naruto summoned ten new Shadow Clones. With unwavering determination, he set their task for the day: to complete Rasengan training in a single day. He explained the mission, and as he had done the previous night, the main body ventured to the back mountain for physical training while creating a multitude of Shadow Clones for concurrent practice.

These ten Shadow Clones were given a singular mission: to remain at home, each holding a ball until they burst it. Naruto's commitment to training was nothing short of remarkable, as he utilized every moment to perfect his skills, a stark contrast to his peaceful origins as a modern man.

One might wonder if he intended to reach Kage-level within a year. In reality, he had already achieved it. If all his powers were taken into account, he surpassed the standards of a Kage. The might of the Six Paths, the Tail Beast transformation, the Ashura Chakra, and more—all combined to make him a formidable force.

His most potent weapon was the power of the Six Paths and the Truth-Seeking Ball that came with it in Sage of Six Paths mode, capable of world-shattering destruction. However, his practical experience and combat techniques were severely lacking, and he needed to remedy that.

Despite his power, Naruto hadn't rushed into action. He had a plan in place, dating back to the Uchiha clan's extermination night. For now, he concentrated on his training.

After breakfast, Naruto left ten Shadow Clones to continue practicing Rasengan in its third stage and headed to the back mountain. However, as he prepared to expand his perception field and use the Shadow Clone Technique as usual, he abruptly froze in his tracks. He sensed someone nearby, and they appeared to be an Anbu agent. Was his secret compromised? Or did Sarutobi suspect something and send an Anbu to investigate?

Anxiety welled up within him. Could his smooth cultivation plan come to a screeching halt, forcing him into hiding? Naruto frowned and clenched his teeth, grappling with the uncertainty.

But then, out of the forest, 'sigh,' an Anbu agent leaped forward and stood before him. Naruto raised his head, and the recognition hit him like a bolt of lightning. The Anbu agent in front of him wore a standard animal mask, resembling a cat, and the mask bore conspicuous white hair. While it might not be as dramatic as "Future," it was enough for Naruto to identify him.

The Anbu in front of him was Kakashi, the disciple of Minato.
