"Okay, let's get to work," Irion said just before approaching Lala.
The little maiden blushed when he asked for her hand. Then, in the blink of an eye, they were gone.
Zintia had gasped. For his part, Valian cursed in utter wonder.
Irion appeared a couple of minutes later.
"Well, damn! If you are not something worth witnessing." Valian made it clear that he was impressed, now that the tension between him and Irion was gone.
Kalina looked back at the handsome Kru captain. She and Valian would leave in Zintia's absence, having taken care not to disturb her power.
"All good?" Zintia asked, looking anxious for the first time. Kalina knew Her Highness was worried about Lala.
"Your maiden is safe, Your Highness," Irion stated confidently. "Are you ready?"
Zintia just nodded.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Kalina approached Zintia, wanting to make sure she was fine. It was about the fourth time she had asked her.
