Alex settled into the rhythm of his college day, the echoes of the supernatural world still reverberating in his thoughts. The lectures were mundane, as his friend had predicted, but his mind kept drifting back to the other world he had stumbled upon. He found it difficult to concentrate on the intricacies of codes and algorithms when the mysteries of the enchanted marketplace danced in his mind.
As the day wore on, Alex found himself daydreaming about the marketplace, the vibrant crystals, and the intoxicating allure of that world.
The bell signalling the end of classes snapped Alex out of his reverie. His friend nudged him playfully, snapping, "Hey, Alex! What are you thinking so deeply?"
Alex chuckled, masking his internal turmoil. "Nothing, just some trivial stuff"
His friend shot him a knowing look, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I bet it's all about your grand plans to defeat me in Valorant, especially after that stunning defeat you suffered in our last custom duel, Don't worry try all you can I will dominate you every time."
The banter brought a smile to Alex's face as they exchanged light-hearted jests. As the day wound down, he headed home. The contrast between the mundane college life and the enchanting realm couldn't have been more stark. Yet, both worlds had a magnetic pull on him, tugging at his thoughts and desires.
Back in his room, Alex stared at the unassuming cupboard. It was a simple piece of furniture that had transformed into a gateway to the extraordinary. He pondered the idea of returning to that realm, exploring it further, perhaps uncovering the mysteries that lay beneath the shimmering surface.
The key, cool and solid in his hand, represented an invitation to a world of wonder but with nowhere to insert the key. he just simply opened the cupboard to see if it was still the simple cupboard or can he use it to go to another world, his heart quickened. As he opened the doors what greeted him was darkness instead of his stuff there and Alex cheered in his mind 'This Works'.
Stepping into the cabinet, he was once again embraced by the shifting gravity, the sensation of transition. The world spun and shimmered, then steadied. He found himself back in the Transportation hall. His gaze co-incidentally met the butlers, who observed him with a silent acknowledgement. It was a fleeting connection, a nod that bridged the gap between two worlds without revealing the secrets held within.
Alex retraced his steps through the mystical marketplace. This time, he found himself more attuned to the rhythms of this place—the hum of conversations, the sparkle of gems, and the undercurrents of intrigue. His path led him back to the GOLD Lounge, where he settled into a comfortable corner.
"Welcome back, sir," the maid greeted him respectfully, her tone warm and inviting.
"Thank you," Alex responded with a nod, his curiosity piqued. "Might I peruse today's local newspaper?"
"Of course, sir. Allow me to fetch that for you," she said graciously.
As he waited, Alex's anticipation grew. The maid returned, presenting him with the newspaper bearing the familiar title of 'THE LOCAL'. "Here you are, sir."
"Thank you," Alex replied with gratitude, accepting the paper.
Diving into its pages, he became immersed in the news of ancient families, city-states, and nations. Elsion Domain, the world he is in, spanned vast territories and oceans, a world teeming with diverse cultures and civilizations. Seven major nations held sway, each wielding unique characteristics and supernatural powers.
Among the prominent noble families highlighted were the Faelorens, masters of elemental magic; the Drevens, skilled in the art of illusion; the Solariels, healers with the ability to mend body and spirit; the Vortrens, who could manipulate time; the Nocturnes, harnessers of shadows; the Luminalis, manipulators of light; the Draegons, controllers of fire; and the Aqualons, water manipulators who had recently entered into a significant treaty.
With a wealth of knowledge absorbed, Alex closed the newspaper. He had glimpsed into the current affairs of Elsion Domain. Armed with this knowledge, he would continue his exploration, guarding his secrets while unearthing Elysium's mysteries.
Like his past visit, he roamed the marketplace after finishing reading the paper to enjoy the feeling of being in this magical world and as night approached, he went back to the lounge to wait until his cupboard could be activated again.
