"Ro.....land" She stuttered,as she called his name slowly.
"Annika....?"Roland called too,turning to face her well. He then smiled handsomely at her,while Dexter stood perplexed,and staring at the both of them.
Annika blinked again,and gulped down nothing.
They both faced each other,staring intently with their raised brows in shock.
"So,it's true you work here. I mean,I can't believe you work in my brother's company" Roland,spoke first. He quickly changed his statement,then gave Annika another smile.
"Bro...ther?" She slowly asked, staring at them both.
"I am not your brother!
"Wait,what the f**k is going on here,you both know each other?" Dexter asked,as he stares at Annika while waiting for an answer.
"Annika is my girlfriend...
"Was your girlfriend,and now your ex. Get that into your head" Annika snapped,quickly cutting him off.
"Your what!?" Dexter exclaimed,looking all shocked.
"I came to drop these documents" Annika said,and went forth to drop them on Dexter's desk.
She looked at Roland first,then back at Dexter who still looked shocked.
"E...excuse me"She stuttered,and left immediately.
"Anni...."Roland called to say something,but she already dashed out of the office.
Although,she heard him call.
She used to love it whenever Roland called her,Anni.
And when he did call her now,her heart skipped.
"Get the hell out of my Office!" Dexter barked immediately Annika left.
"We've not seen each other for months now,you should be happy to see your brother" Roland tried to mock and annoy him.
"You idiot! You still got the nerves to come to my Office after what you did" He glared,grabbing him on his shirt and choking him in the process.
"Leave my Office,and stay away from her. Stay away from this building and my employees!" He thundered loudly,pushing him roughly,as he let go of his shirt.
Roland staggered as a result,and almost fell. But he held himself,and started chuckling.
"She is my girlfriend,so you can't tell me to stay away from her" He finally replied Dexter.
"She was your girlfriend,and now your ex" Dexter said sharply,glaring at him.
"Humph! So you think" Roland smirked.
"See you again soon,Dexter" He said and left too.
"I've gotten what I want. So,Annika really does work here" He muttered, then started smirking,as he went out of the Office completely.

"Annika is that bastard's ex? Like for real?" Dexter asked himself, as he was seriously ruffling his hair.
"Wait,why am I even worried about this?
It's none of my business, I need to get back to work" He said, sitting back on his chair to check the documents Annika brought.
He was still going through them when he suddenly remembered what Roland said.

"What did he mean by that, and how did he know Annika works here" He asked no one in particular.
"Annika...." He muttered lowly, as he remembered yesterday.
How hot and beautiful she looked, then the things he said in the presence of everyone.
He shut his eyes tight, and sighed.

Annika held her chest tight,immediately she got to her Office.
The air she had been holding back, she just let it all out at once.
"How the hell are they brothers? And how did he know I work here?" Annika asked, with her hand still placed on her chest.
Roland just came out from nowhere,and showed up unexpectedly.
"I have to tell Sana and Mina. But will have to go to their place after work" She smiled happily.
Her heart raced when she thought about Roland.
"Stop beating,you can't be beating for him again!" She yelled and slapped her chest.

"Mom,can you please beg dad to give me back my credit cards? I am tired of begging you and Dexter for money already.
"Why does he always do this,as if I'm a baby"Verity said,frowning.
"You spend too much on shopping. Today,Verity has bought new clothes and shoes. Tomorrow she no longer likes them,and wants new ones.
"Who the hell does that?"Her mom shouted.
"Verity the hell does that,mom. Since when did looking good become a crime?"Verity pouted.
"Alright,fine. I will talk to him,but you have to stop this your everyday shopping" Janice said,and Verity jumped on her,and started kissing her cheeks and forehead before her mom could finish talking.
"Why won't we treat you like a baby when you act like one" Janice laughed,shaking her head.
"It seems someone has forgotten that I am the last born,and baby of the house" Verity said,fanning and stylishly blinking her eyes.
Janice chuckled at her silliness.
"Just wait till your dad and I make another baby" Janice joked,and Verity bursted out laughing hard.
"This is the funniest joke I have heard since this month" Verity continued to laugh.
"So,what are you now insinuating,that I am too old?" Janice raised a brow.
"Mom,I didn't say anything as such. You're the s*xiest and ever young mom in the whole world" Verity said,and her mom laughed loud.
"Now you're talking,baby girl. More reasons your dad goes haywire whenever I wear those....you know" She winked,and Verity laughed hard.
"I don't just know what your dad saw in that witch called Victoria,when I am a full package" Janice rolled eyes.
"Forget about her,mom. She's not important" Verity smiled.
"So,when are you resuming work?" Janice asked immediately.
"Seriously mom,are you tired of me staying at home already? My leave started just two days ago,jeez!" Verity chuckled.
"I was only pulling your legs,silly. Do you know how boring the house gets without you?" Janice chuckled,and she chuckled too.
While they were still laughing,a knock came on the door,and Verity went for it.
Immediately Verity opened the door,Victoria rushed in without wasting time.
"Speaking of the devil.
"So,mad people still exist in Los Angeles" Janice sarcastically said,and Victoria rolled eyes.
"Hmm....mom,I did not gist you about the ones at my work place?" Verity sardonically said,making her mom to laugh.
"Where's my husband?" Victoria asked,ignoring everyone.
"Do you have a husband?" Janice barked,but Victoria ignored her. She went straight to the couch and sat down,crossing her legs.
"The audacity,are you out of your mind" Janice yelled immediately.
"Mo...m,that's not how to treat a visitor" Verity said,shocking the hell out of her mom.
"Hu....h" Janice said,slowly.
"Yeah,you should offer her something to eat,not doing that.
"Umm....Aunt Vic,should I get a cup of ice tea for you? Since the weather is kind of hot today" Verity asked,giving a cute smile.
"Absolutely. Exactly what I need right now" Victory replied.
"I'll be right back" Verity smiled,living her mom in a complete state of confusion.
They were both eyeing themselves as Verity left.
Verity then brought the tea not long,stirred it before handing it over to her.
"Enjoy" She smirked this time,and Victoria smiled,as she collected it.
She stirred it again, and took a big gulp from the tea. The next thing that was heard was a loud scream.
"Ahh,my...mouth...ha. Water,I nee...water!" Victoria screamed,as the pepper started burning her mouth and throat,hellishly.
Verity and her mom bursted out laughing,seeing how she was acting like a mad person.
While Victoria was acting like a crazy person,Verity signaled her mom,and she nodded.
She took her handbag first and threw it outside.
Verity then came back,and they both jacked her up. Verity held the left leg and Janice, the right one.
"Robert!!!" Victoria screamed.
"Shut up!" Janice shouted and covered her mouth with the other hand.
They threw her out,and shut the door on her face.
"Open this door and let me in!!" She yelled,banging loudly on the door.
Verity and her mom looked at each other,and laughed out loud.
"Where is my husband?" Janice mimicked her,and they laughed,and stuck hands.
^^ DEXTER'S OFFICE>4:45PM ^^
"How many people have applied for the job so far?" Dexter asked Spencer as soon as he walked into his Office.
"Not as much as we nee,sir" He replied simply.
"Don't they like jobs or what?" He asked, scoffing.
"I don't know, sir. But we should get enough by tomorrow or next" He replied and smiled.
" I hope so. Tell Ryan I want to see him in my Office" He said like the boss he is.
"I will do that,sir" Spencer bowed and left.
It wasn't long after Spencer left, when Dalton and Derek came in.
"Hey,man. What's up?" Derek asked.
"I'm so tired, my head's spinning right now" Dexter said, sighing.
"Sorry,bro. You need to rest though, try and take a day off" Dalton advised.
"Who will do all the work for me? I know I need rest,but seriously, who am I going to leave all the work for?" He sighed again.
"I told you he won't listen" Derek said,and Dalton chuckled.
"That reminds me, we saw your brother earlier this afternoon" Dalton said.
"Stop calling that idiot my brother" Dexter shot.
"Sorry...." Dalton replied slowly like a baby,and Derek chuckled.
"I am not supposed to be saying this,but you won't believe he's Annika's ex lover" Dexter said.
"Huh?" Dalton and Derek chorused.
"Like for real?" They Derek asked.
"That's quite....shocking though, but why are you talking about it with all seriousness" Dalton asked, staring at him keenly.
"What...did I do anything now?" He rolled eyes.
"Nothing.... Nothing at all" He said, shaking his hands.
"But don't tell me you're starting to fall for Annika... Cos that'd be funny and crazy?" Dalton started again.
"Are you crazy or what,what made you say or think so?" Dexter rolled eyes.
"Cos....what were those things he said again yesterday.

~ I can't afford to see he getting sick, blah blah blah!~ Derek said and they both laughed loudly.
"Like I was so shocked, even my balls felt the shock" Derek said funnily, and that made them all laugh.
"So, it's now a crime to care about someone" Dexter said.
"The last time we checked, Dexter doesn't care about anyone but himself" Dalton rolled eyes,and Dexter did too.
"If not for the soft drink he took yesterday, I would have said he was under the influence of alcohol.
"So,Dexter Klein. Are you falling for Annika? Cos I still don't understand the rubbish you were spewing yesterday about COVID-19 blah blah blah" Derek said,making Dalton to laugh like a crazy person.
"Are you or are you not?" Dalton asked.
Dexter looked at Dalton, then at Derek.
