"I think you two have gone crazy and need to leave my Office,I still have a lot of work to do before closing for the day. So, leave" Dexter told them, and they began laughing instead.
"He's definitely falling for her" Dalton chuckled.
"P**sy Lord is falling for Annika again,I hope she doesn't fall for your scam, just like you fell for Wendy and left her.
"Wait a sec, this dude still hasn't told us why" Dalton said to Derek. He then paused, and turned to look at Dexter.
"You still haven't told us why you stupidly called....
"Stop asking me why I did what I did,and stop talking about Wendy where I am!" Dexter angrily cut him off,and his asthma almost started as a result of his anger.
Because that's one of the things that trigger his asthma most times.
So,he slowly calmed himself down, and took a deep breath and rested his head on the swivel.
Dalton and Derek were looking at him like he's acting a movie or something.
"What did she even do?" Derek asked, and Dalton shrugged.
"We're still going to know what she did,and you will be the one that will personally tell us.
"We are your friends, your only best friends, let me remind you in case you've forgotten that" Derek said, rolling eyes.
"Yeah, tell him because it seems he's forgotten" Dalton said. Dexter scoffed and shook his head.
"Anyway, I was telling Derek the other day about your Company" Dalton started.
"What about my Company?" Dexter curiously asked, raising his head this time.
"Okay. So,I was suggesting that instead of producing only wines in your Company.
You should be making other drinks too"
"You know, expand your Company, and I bet your customers will love it. What do you think?" Dalton said, sat well and waited for a positive reply from Dexter.
"Not a bad idea, man. You know,I've been thinking about that too. But I'm not too sure if it's a very good idea" Dexter replied.
"Of course it is,except you don't want to grow" Derek said.
"Who doesn't want growth? Anyway,I will still think about it" Dexter said, took his pen and continued with what he was doing.
"So,what's up with the big Company? Has your dad decided to give it you?" Derek asked.
"You wish,he hasn't and I don't think he's ready to. He still thinks I will ruin it,even when he knows I'm handling this one perfectly well" Dexter scoffed and rolled eyes.
"Quit being a man whore already. He might change his mind, who knows?" Dalton derided, and smirked.
"That's just the perfect name for him" Derek said, and they started laughing at Dexter.
"You both need a psychiatrist,I swear. I will book an appointment with one tomorrow" Dexter said, making them to laugh more..
"I have had it already, start going before I throw you out myself" Dexter said, rolling eyes.
"I thought you were going to fire us. Been long we heard"YOU'RE FIRED!" Derek mocked.
"Leave the poor dude please. You do not expect him to have time to fire people again, when he's busy falling in love with Annika" Dalton mocked too,and that made Derek laugh more.
"I don't know why you jerks derive pleasure from getting me angry" Dexter shouted.
"You're too sweet to tease"Dalton smirked, but a pen landed on his lips,as he was still laughing.
Dexter threw the pen at him.
"Ouch....dude! Did I tell you I don't want to kiss anymore? Why do you want damage my precious lips?" Dalton asked, holding his hurting lips.
"I will use a needle and thread to sew your mouth, or I use a glue on your mouth. You talk too much.
"You should have come as a lady, and not as a guy. Jeez! Even Verity doesn't talk like you" Dexter said, and Derek burst out laughing hard at Dalton.
"Idiot! Which side are you even on? All weather!" Dalton barked at Derek who still kept laughing at him.
"Any side that is winning, bro" He replied, and Dalton scoffed.
"It's really going to rain soon, look at the dark clouds" Derek said after they were quiet for some time.
"Yeah,I should get going before it starts pouring down. At least I'm done for the day" Dalton said.
"Same here" Derek said too.
"So,you both are leaving me here alone" Dexter raised a brow.
"But you wanted us to leave, didn't you?" Derek rolled eyes.
"Whatever, shut my door after you, jerks!" Dexter said, and they chuckled.
"See you tomorrow, bro, and I hope you won't stay here and over work yourself before going home" Dalton said.
"I will try my best,
bye" Dexter replied, and watched them as they leave.
"D**kheads!" He muttered and chuckled, then returned to what he was doing.
^^ SECRETARY'S OFFICE ^^
Annika has been rushing to round up fast, before the rain starts.
And she's been trying to book a cab since, but it's not working. Probably because of the bad weather.
"This rain can't meet me here. It's gonna be a heavy one I think" She said as she continued to hurry up.
She didn't quite finish talking when it started pouring already.
"Guess I spoke too soon. How am I supposed to go home now?" She asked no one in particular as she plopped down the chair.
"It sucks! Sucks like hell" She said, frustratedly.
The rain worsened, and started pouring down more that before.
"Migosh! Just when I thought it was gonna stop soon!" She shouted, stamping her feet on the ground like an unhappy baby whose mom refused to give her biscuits.
She just sat back staring into space, and thinking of how she's going to get home with this heavy.
She took her phone and tried booking again, but it didn't work, so she flung it on her desk, and pouted.
"There has to be a way" She said and picked up her bag,and other things and left.
Immediately she entered the hall way, she met Dexter, and their eyes made contacts.
They stared at each other for seconds, before receiving their senses back.
Annika awkwardly greeted him,due to what happened in his Office earlier, and he greeted her back.
They both started walking and heading to the elevator.
When they got there, they stood still, waiting for who will go in first.
"Ladies first" Dexter said, and Annika furrowed her brow, then chuckled.
"Interesting" She said, and entered the elevator. Dexter rolled eyes and followed behind.
The elevator took them downstairs, and they came out.
But Annika stopped, and leaned on the door, trying to wait for the rain to stop a little.
"Why are you leaning on the door, aren't you going home?" He asked, staring at her face.
"I can't book a cab right now ,and obviously can't get to the junction with this rain" She replied with a grim.
"Oh....I can drop you off before going home" Dexter said before he could stop himself.
What's this new change, why has he suddenly become so caring and nice? Especially to Annika whom he always has a fight with.
Dexter doesn't care about anyone, but himself!
"Dexter, are you crazy....?" He inwardly asked himself.
"Thanks, but I'm fine" Annika replied, and Dexter scoffed.
"Do you intend to sleep in my Company or what? Because this rain is not stopping now" Dexter said again, and Annika turned to look at his face with a furrowed brow.
"Since when did Disaster become a meteorologist?" Annika asked, chuckling.
"Since Annika Wrong got stuck in the rain, and has no idea how she's going home" He rolled eyes.
"Jerk!" She mouthed.
"What did you just say?" Dexter asked.
"Nothing" Annika quickly replied him.
"Get in the car" Dexter said like an order, and Annika surprisingly nodded.
They both ran fast to the car, trying not to get wet.
Dexter is actually the one driving, not Ian. He gave him a day off.
"Where to?" He asked as they both sat down. Annika gave him the address of where she is going (Her friends).
Dexter started the car and took off.
Neither of them spoke until they got to her friend's.
