"What is that beast!? Where did it come from?"
Aakur jolted his head toward the cheetahkin, who shared the back corner of his bench. The rest of the molekin's body was pulled away, scuttling further away from Sabina.
Meanwhile, Sabina blinked. She couldn't believe her eyes while staring down at her lap.
"Looks like you're still not used to it."
Rizz's nonchalance yanked the molekin's attention back to him, along with everyone else's attention the following split-second.
"Don't get spooked so easily, Aakur. If a tiny cub scares you, how the hell are we gonna make it to the gold vein? Do you want us to blindfold you and throw you over Lob's shoulder?"
"I'm quite alright," stated Aakur. He straightened his back while keeping some of his distance from the wild kitten. "I was simply startled. That would be the common reaction, I believe, given the undetected appearance of an unrecognizable beast."
