"No!"
"I refuse to leave!"
"I won't let an outsider harm my boy!"
A slew of comments burst out from the angrily worried women.
Kerl, however, nodded without hesitation. "Of course, Rizz. May I hang a curtain here? Would this space suffice for your work?"
Rizz looked over the round table and the countertop again. "I can make it work. But no one's allowed to question me while I work, whether you can see me or not. It's one thing to check if I'm done, and it's another to drag my efforts through the mud."
"I understand." Nodding to the goblin, Kerl shared a daunting glance with the women in the room. "If any of you call him into question before treatment is given, you'll be asked to leave the hut. If you do not leave voluntarily, I will drag you out if necessary. Am I clear?"
"Y-yes, Master Kerl," one woman replied with a pathetic nod, getting the others to do the same in silence.
