Chapter 101 - Chapter 101 : The Party ll

After everyone had arrived, only Ling Tai Xu's seat remained empty, along with Yu Tian's seat. The main guest was always known to arrive late, and this was common knowledge, so no one said anything about it. They continued talking with their friends and acquaintances while drinking alcohol.

Ten minutes passed like this, and the atmosphere in the Main Palace was lively until they heard the voice of a disciple at the door.

"Elder Yu has arrived!!" – the disciple at the door shouted respectfully, bowing toward the platinum-haired person who was entering the Main Palace without care.

The person entering the Main Palace was a young man, in his teenage years, about 180 cm tall, with a pair of blood-red reptilian eyes and long, carelessly draped platinum hair behind him. There was an air of nobility and savagery around him, making his contradictory aura highly attractive to those watching.

Upon hearing the disciple's announcement, everyone stopped what they were doing and turned their gaze toward the door to see Yu Tian, who walked in indifferently, seemingly unaffected by the hundreds of eyes on him.

Yu Tian quietly walked toward his seat at the center back of the Main Palace, as he had already been informed about the seating arrangements. As the main figure of the celebration, he was seated in the center back where the Sect Master would typically sit. Even though the Sect Master was absent, his seat was present, raised higher than the others, and no one dared to object.

Upon reaching his seat under everyone's gaze, Yu Tian sat down and briefly examined the attendees with mild interest. He recognized some people, such as Su Yan, Hu Mei'er, Hu Jiao'er, Xia Ning Chang, and many others.

After surveying the crowd, who were also observing him, Yu Tian lightly smiled, picked up his wine cup, and raised it in greeting to everyone.

"Thank you all for coming to celebrate my installment as the 6th Elder of High Heaven Pavilion," Yu Tian said, without arrogance or humility, but the indifference in his eyes was clear. "I hope you enjoy the festivities tonight."

After speaking, Yu Tian downed his cup of wine in one go, feeling that what he had said was sufficient. He didn't like making empty promises like striving his hardest to be worthy of being the 6th Elder, as this was just a temporary title for him. He was only using it to spend time near Yang Kai to gain some benefits, which is why he had given him some pills to help heal his inherited injuries, as well as some moderately powerful techniques.

Once Yu Tian finished speaking, the Main Palace erupted in cheers. Many disciples and Elders were impressed by Yu Tian's outstanding demeanor. Despite his young age, he spoke confidently in front of hundreds of powerful individuals. Additionally, his natural aura was extremely strong, eliminating any doubts about his strength. It was clear that he was more than qualified for the position of 6th Elder.

However, this caused many people to feel envy and jealousy toward High Heaven Pavilion, as they too wanted to recruit such a powerful young man into their sects. Having Yu Tian in their sect would attract more powerful individuals and elevate their status within their own sects and others.

But these thoughts soon disappeared when a figure dashed from the crowd toward the combat arena. This celebration was also meant for fights between disciples, not just for eating and drinking.

"Xiao Tao, 16 years old, from Seven Blades Sect," said the person who stepped into the arena, staring at the High Heaven Pavilion disciples with narrowed eyes, before his gaze settled on a particular individual. "Is there anyone who would like to exchange pointers with me?"

Although the fights weren't exclusively against High Heaven Pavilion, other sects used this opportunity to let their disciples experience the ferocity of the High Heaven Pavilion disciples. They often challenged High Heaven Pavilion, not caring if their disciples lost, as no one would dare spread the word. However, if their disciples won, it would boost their standing, while High Heaven Pavilion's reputation would be diminished, as it was disgraceful for disciples from the strongest sect to lose.

Although disciples typically fought for honor and experience, Xiao Tao was different. He was here for revenge, having lost to Tian Li, a disciple of High Heaven Pavilion, a few months ago. He had been training like a madman to get a chance for revenge, and now that moment had finally come. He intended to humiliate Tian Li, just as Tian Li had done to him a few months earlier.

Thinking about this, Xiao Tao touched the scar on his left cheek and smiled wickedly, making his already fearsome face terrifying to the spectators.

Before any of the High Heaven Pavilion disciples could speak, a figure dashed from among them and stood on the combat stage.

"Tian Li, 16 years old, from High Heaven Pavilion," Tian Li said, knowing that Xiao Tao had specifically targeted him from the provocative look in his eyes when their gazes met. "I accept the challenge to exchange pointers."
