Raven had started to stand up against the all hunters by herself. Despite being alone, Raven could keep up with the hunters and even forced them to retreat.
All the hunters were focused on Raven. I quickly advanced towards them. I had no experience in wielding a sword, although I had been in a few fist fights in my old world, I had never picked up a weapon before.
But I had to trust in my abilities.
I attacked the E-Rank hunter quickly. My sword grazed his shoulder.
"Agghhh!"
The E-Rank hunter groaned in pain. He stumbled backwards and fell.
My attack was accurate, but I had not yet delivered the fatal blow. I took a quick step forward and brought my sword down on his neck.
[Congratulations! You have gained 25 DP for killing an E-Rank hunter.]
We had already killed three hunters, but there was something strange. I quickly turned towards the hunters surrounding Raven. The bodies of the hunters began to merge.
All the hunters had disappeared. In front of me was a red-haired girl. Her face had a bright color, and her body was naked. But her beautiful face was definitely dangerous.
All the hunters seemed to have been absorbed by her. Raven was bewitched in place, showing no expression.
"Who are you? I'm sorry, but we are not currently accepting guests!"
I spoke as I gripped my sword.
I couldn't see the girl's stats, which was a big problem. The creature in front of me could be much more powerful than me.
The red-haired girl slowly brought her hands up to her face and touched it. Then she turned her face towards me and slowly parted her lips.
"Orion, I think this is the first time you're seeing me like this. I'm Lexia Nefarion, the dungeon itself, and like you, I'm tied to this dungeon."
Lexia spoke confidently.
The girl in front of me introduced herself as Nefarion. Wasn't that the name of this dungeon? A lot of questions rushed through my mind.
"If you were the dungeon itself, wouldn't you have to inform me before coming? Or at least a notification would have been sent."
Before I could finish my sentence, Lexia interrupted me.
"Allow me to ask a question as well. If I were your enemy, wouldn't you receive a notification when an enemy enters the dungeon? After all, when someone enters the dungeon as an enemy, they are notified."
What she said made sense, but it may not always be true that the system should always send a notification.
Lexia started walking towards me.
"Stop! Why can't I see your stats? Also, why didn't I gain any DP even though you killed all the hunters?"
I gripped my sword tightly and spoke.
I had no idea what was going on right now.
"Huhhh... Anyway, let me start from the beginning. Normally, when the dungeon reaches level 3, I should have appeared as the dungeon spirit. But as you can see, these hunters were not ordinary hunters. For some reason, there was a strange magic in their blood. I used the energy of this magic to create a body for myself."
She took a deep breath and continued.
"And as for your first question, there is no spirit in the bend I am currently in. So it's normal for you not to see my stats. And as for the second question, I didn't kill them. They just disappeared with all their essence. You could say that I used their existence to be reborn. Just like your rebirth."
Lexia narrowed her eyes and smiled slightly.
I still didn't trust her. After all, I didn't even know how she existed. Even if some of what she said was true, it still seemed suspicious to me.
"Show me a reason to believe you."
I spoke in a skeptical tone.
"If I go outside the dungeon, I will die. Do you want me to prove it?"
She spoke as if to a fool.
I felt a little stupid, but I still stood ready.
"For now, I choose to trust you." I pointed to Raven and spoke. "I don't know what kind of magic you used, but please turn her back to her old form."
