"So when are you going to allow me drive us one of these days?"
"I don't really know but I will put that into consideration. But you should be happy I'm driving you, why are you eager to drive us?"
"I want to also take care of you. You can't be the only one taking care of us. I must be given a chance to show you what I can do."
"I've already seen enough. You don't need to show me what you can do."
"Please try and slow down! You're almost going ahead of mummy!" I said as I looked and discovered we were way ahead of the others.
We were heading to Susan's house in Lagos. Do you know why? Susan gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. And during the few periods, we decided to give our wedding more months. So we added three months to our courtship. We decided to go on prayer retreat and visited different prayer mountains.
In this few days we spent, God gave us the name for the ministry he was calling my husband into. He gave us the exact time to launch into it and specific instructions, that opened financial doors for us.
The wedding date was fixed and it will be taking place tomorrow. All arrangements were made and I've been receiving so many congratulatory wishes.
Finally, mummy was now a grandmother . Everybody wanted to visit Susan, so we decided to go together. By the way, Ella is 6 months pregnant. Her stomach is already protruding and we are all giving the child different names.
I was the only one who was yet to get married. I don't know why God chose me to be the last, but I'm happy I finally found my missing guy.
"Juliet, were you able to get what I asked you to?"
"I couldn't. Everytime I try to engage him in this conversation, he always had an excuse, even right from childhood. Tell us what happened between you and mummy, he would never do that.
"Are you saying we are never going to know what happened between the two of them? Did he promise to tell you at a convenient time?"
"Never! But mummy wants told me that there will be a convenient time when she will tell me. She's the only one who gave me a promise to tell me what happened between them. As for my dad he keeps claiming or hanging to one excuse or the other."
"Then I guess we should meet mummy for that story. The mystery behind the scar on mummy's stomach. And the mystery behind the scar on the stomach of Juliet Anderson!" He said grinning.
I laughed and hit him playfully on his shoulder. So we pulled into the compound and parked the car. Mummy pulled in behind us and turned off the car ignition. Pastor Henry with his heavily-pregnant wife and mummy's husband all came out.
We headed for the door click the doorbell and Mr Josh open the door.
It was a great family reunion. Ella and her husband, Pastor Henry. Her protruding belly proving to us a baby was on the way. My fiancee and I, Robert Thompson. My mentor, Mrs Toyin Abayomi and her husband, Mr Tunde Abayomi.
We were all grateful to God for the reunion. Most importantly, the blessings that came with it.
"George! I can see you are taking good care of my daughter!" Mrs Abayomi said, grinning.
George took a look at Susan and smiled.
"It is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our sight," he replied.
"When are we expecting the next championship?" Henry asked.
We all burst into laughter.
"Look at this guy oh! We are not done with one tournament. You are already anticipating the next. You no dey pity the goal post wey dey recieve all the shots?" Mr Abayomi said.
"Please! My daughters are not goal posts. They are virtuous women so difficult to find!" Mrs Abayomi said.
"But at least! Virtuous women still win championship Na! Abi wetin be virtue without winning world cup?" Romeo said laughing.
"You are there my brother" Henry concurred.
I bad eyed my Romeo, feigning annoyance.
"Hmmmm, bro Robert, this one my daughter is bad eyeing you. Hope you have concluded on how many world cups you guys would be winning?" Mr Abayomi asked and we all laughed.
"Well I'm considering 7 championship!"
"What!" Mrs Abayomi shouted at him and he started laughing.
"I was only joking oooo!" He said admist laughter.
"Don't turn my girl into a factory oo!" She warned.
"Mummy! God will bless you!" Said Ella, grinning.
"Juliet this one you are not saying anything. Hope that was not the agreement?" Henry asked.
"God forbid!" I replied.
Turning to George, he asked.
"So when are we expecting the next baby. I already have a nephew. I also need a niece!" He said and George only grinned.
"The Lord holds our future," he replied.
"Bros this one no be Bible study. This is world cup!"
"Henry! Leave my sweet for me oh," Susan attacked him.
"What's the problem with you Brothers this morning questionmark why the sudden interest in winning world cups?" Mummy asked.
"Mama we were given a mandate. Go into the world and multiply. We are so vision minded that we want to subdue the earth and multiply," Henry said.
"There are lost souls to be won. Go and subdue them and bring them to the fold of Christ. If you want to multiply get busy with multiplying the names in The book of Life. The children that are born on earth are enough. Get busy with registering them in the book of Life."
"I don't understand this one mummy is doing ooo. Look at the way she is encouraging us to disobey the word of God. It was the word of God that said we should multiply ooooo! Me I don't understand again!" Henry replied and we all burst into laughter.
"So Juliet, with the way things are going, I guess we will be going for at least 10 babies. What do have to say brother Robert?"
"Yes! That would be awesome!" He replied looking at me with a mischievous grin.
I threw the book I was holding at him and he dodged.
"Haaaaaaaa! Please love games are not allowed in my house. You have to pay money first, before you start chasing your lover." George announced as I stood up to run after him.
"Brother George, please allow them to chase each other. Tomorrow is their day. Tomorrow they won't have enough time to pursue like this." Mr Abayomi replied.
"I didn't say they shouldn't chase each other, did I?"
"Not at all my brother!" Henry concurred.
"I only said you should pay me first, so that they can be free to chase each other and break whatever they want to break in the house."
"Haaaaaaaa!" Ella screamed in laughter.
"Please you guys to be careful. I don't want my wife to put to birth prematurely. Her scream frightened me. I almost thought she was in labour, because she was laughing so hard."
I laughed so hard that I thought I was going to pass out.
"Mummy! How did you get all these romantic brothers?" I asked.
"Na prayers na! We used prayers to summon them like zombies. They had no choice than to start following my daughters till they pitied them and accepted to marry them!" Mummy said and we all burst into laughter.
"Mummy, please the boys are almost getting angry! Why are you making it sound as if we were at your mercy?" Daddy asked.
"Yes ooooo! You were at our mercy. If we said no to your proposals, you would have gone home and drank acid. So we decided to pity you guys and accept your proposal. Am I right girls?"
"Yes mummy!" Ella, Susan and I all chorused.
"See their mouth like yes mummy! Do you think it is easy to find handsome, God fearing, spiritual and romantic Brothers like us?" Daddy replied.
"Tell them oooo!" Henry said.
"You have said it!" Robert replied.
"Abi oooo!" George exclaimed.
"Don't go there. To find virtuous women like my girls is rare! Beautiful ladies that carry daddy J on the inside. Slay Queens that do not slay with fornication. Beauty Queens that do not need to expose cleavages to attract men."
"Mummy finish me!" I replied.
"Haaaaaaaa! Ladies should be careful with this shakara. You have been dying for our attention before we finally looked your way, pitied you and propose to you."
"If proposing to us was out of pity, then why did you have to go down on your knees?"
"I didn't kneel down to proposed to Mummy ooooo!" Daddy replied.
"Ehn!" Mummy shouted and stood up furiously.
We all burst into laughter.
"Daddy was crying on the day he proposed to me. He was begging me to marry him because if I didn't marry him he will die. You need to see the tears! Haaaa where is my phone! It pains me I never videoed the event."
"Haaaaaaaa! Mummy why na? Why would you tell us that he was crying on the day of proposal?" Henry asked frowning playfully.
"That's not the whole story! Mummy tell them how you also wept that day thanking God I accepted to marry you! It was a draw. I wept and she wept also."
"I don't understand. Why was mummy grateful to God that you accepted to marry her? Was she that bad that no one wanted her?" I asked.
I saw the look in Romeo's eyes that spelt this was the wrong approach.
"Story for another day," daddy said admist laughter.
"I wasn't bad ooo! I was seriously doing him a favour by accepting his proposal," mummy said smiling.
That statement gave a signal that she was not going to start something we would not finish. I got the encrypted message, and immediately put off the topic.
"Kayla and Ope are planning a big bridal shower for me. It's going to be awesome," I said all smiles.
"Wow!" George exclaimed.
"What about groom shower? Abi the groom doesn't need to take a shower?" Romeo asked.
"I wonder ooo!
"The rate at which ladies are oppressing men in our generation is seriously alarming. There is bride price and bridal shower, but nothing for the groom. Somebody must fight for our right!" Pastor Henry said with feigned seriousness.
We all burst into laughter.
I was so excited with the family reunion. The family that started with just mommy Abayomi and her husband. It was now a big family with three boys and three daughters. Oh, I forgot to add our baby Anthony George Oluwagbade and Ella's unborn twin boys.
Oh! I never told you guys. The scans result showed Ella was carrying twin boys. I'm so glad to be a part of this family. Most importantly, I'll be getting married tomorrow.
To be Continued.......
Congratulations to Susan and George on the arrival of their son. Congratulations to Ella and her husband as they await the arrival of their twins.
Tomorrow is the big day. The wedding will be taking place this Saturday at Lagos. This is not a wedding to miss.
Daddy Abayomi and his boys said they pitied the sisters and married them oooo. Me I want to support them.
Infact, Romeo is agitating for groom shower.
"What about groom shower? Abi the groom doesn't need to take a shower?" Romeo asked.
Brothers, how can we have bride price and no groom price? Is it fair! Ladies are cheating us oooo.
