"Father I thank you for this day. I am the most happiest person on Earth. You've shown me mercy! You have shown me wisdom, you have shown me your love. I am ever grateful for the love you have shown me. Today marks my existence on earth. And according to time I have existed for 29 years on earth.
Thank you for the 29 years you permitted me to stay. Your words says, it is by the mercies of the Lord we are not consumed. If I were to count my self-righteousness, I have not been more deserving to be counted among the living. But in your mercy you granted me life and kept me till this present day.
Thank you so much for standing by me. Thank you so much for not giving up on this disappointment of a daughter. Thank you so much for tolerating my annoying personality. It's not easy to love an annoying person. It can be very frustrating, you choose to make me your best friend.
I'm so glad I met the best daddy in the world. I'm so glad in the midst of all the humans on earth, you know my name. Honestly, not that I am one important person. How many great man on earth, public figures and people of influence. Yet, you have chosen to recognise this small annoying girl.
No wonder those Hillsong musicians said, who am I that the highest King would welcome me? Who am I? Lord, who am I? She will treat me like a VIP. I am so glad you are able God. Of a truth, man does not deserve but in your mercy you have chosen us to be your prized possession.
Thank you so much for loving me. Today is the most important day of my life. But you are the most important person in my life. Today marks the beginning of my life, but you are the beginning of my life. Today marks the day of my existence, but you are the reason why I exist.

I was seriously blushing right here. I felt like collapsing and waiting for Daddy to pour me water. I felt the euphoria of love engulfing me. It was warm in his presence.
I stood up and opened my wardrobe to pick the beautiful red gown my dad had gotten for me. Red heels and a red bag to match. There was also a red fascinator, because red was my favourite colour. I smiled at myself as I styled my hair in front of the mirror.
My friends and I had planned a little get-together at mummy's place. So I was getting myself ready to hang out with them. It will be the birthday party of the century. They invited almost everyone I knew. But I wasn't sure if they invited Romeo because I was not permitted to invite him. Added to it, I was not permitted to tell someone to invite him on my behalf. Even when I tried to tell Daddy if I could be permitted to tell someone to help me pass that information about the party to him, he refused.
So I had no idea if he knew about the get-together at mommy's house. I got into the sitting room and met my Dad, Ope, Kayla, Maria who was now married with her 5 year old son, singing.

They sang and cheered as I walked down the staircase in my breath taking attire. The girls are said all kind of pleasant words to me. There was a cake at the centre of the table. I was seriously smiling like there was no tomorrow.
After the mini party, we all got out of the house to drive down to mummy's place. My dad was all dressed up and drove us mummy's place.
We got there and met the pregnant Susan and her husband. Ella and her husband, pastor Henry were also present. They all sang as I entered the house with all joy. Segun was there with his dad.
When our eyes met, I found a reassuring smile on his face. While the chattering in the house was ongoing, I got a text message from him.
"When I spoke with Mummy, she explained everything to me. I have finally made up my mind to accept God's will for my life. And if he is not willing for us to spend the rest of our lives together, I will say yes to his command. God knows what is best, I know nothing. I have chosen to surrender my will to the one who knows best.
I believe he'll give me the best and also give you the best. I wish you all the best and a Happy Birthday."
"Thank you so much!" I typed and click the send button.
"Susan, when are we expecting our baby girl?" Ella asked.
"Baby girl? No it's not a baby girl it's a boy."
"Oh! But I thought you said the scan showed it was a baby girl."
"That's what this guy said but not what the Holy Ghost said, she answered.
"That means you have to go back and ask him if he changed his mind," Ope said.
"I'm confused! How can the Holy Ghost say he's giving you a baby boy and the scan is showing you're carrying a baby girl?" She asked.
"It was my husband's family that kept insisting I go for a scan. I had to respect them and go for it, but I hold on to what the Holy Ghost said. He's the one with the final say."
"But a girl is already in your womb! Are you saying he's going to change the gender of the baby?" She asked.
"I don't care whatever he is going to do. What I care about is what he told me and I will hold on to it."
"Wow! I'm loving this kind of faith you carry!" Ope said.
"So can we go to the presentation of gifts?" Mummy asked.
As soon as they were about to present gifts the door opened and Romeo walked in.
As soon as he walked in everyone started clapping and cheering. I had to cover my face, blushing heavily. Do you know why?
He was putting on a red suit. It was just as though he already knew I was dressed in red. So both of us were on matching outfits. He was holding a wrapped box in his hand.
"Happy birthday Juliet!" He said, stretching out his hand to congratulate me.
I took it and shook his hand and then he handed the wrapped box to me. I took it from him at least inside me.
"I thought nobody told you about this gathering. Almost thought you were not aware because I didn't inform?"
"I guess news always spread!" He replied with a smile.
"I'm sorry about the other day!"
"Hush! It's your birthday! Okay!" He smiled and I returned it.
Soon the room was silent and all eyes were on me. I didn't notice until the silence got my attention.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Juliet, open it!" Pastor Henry answered.
"That's exactly what I have been thinking. My son you are truly in the spirit!" Mummy said.
"Haaaaaaaa! Mummy! Please ooo! I don't plan on opening this, till I get to my house!"
"What did Robert buy for you?" Mr Abayomi asked.
"Robert can you tell the entire house what you bought for her?" My Dad asked.
"You people should leave me na! It's a surprise!"
"I don't know why this curiousity, but I want to hide it. I'm seriously desperate to know what this guy is buying for Juliet!" Susan said.
"Honestly, I seriously want to see it!" Ope concurred.
"So can you please open it for us that all eyes may see and behold the reward of Juliet?" Pastor Henry said and we all laughed.
"But it's my present and I'm supposed to open it in my room! Everyone suddenly interested in knowing what Romeo bought for me?"
"I don't know but we are all curious!" Ella said.
"Just open this thing and let there be peace in this house! This is the gathering of the brethren!" Henry announced.
"Ella, you seriously married a man of God! Mummy said admist laughter.
"Mummy, everybody wants me to open this gift!"
"And you have to open it or else, this party's over!"
"Haaaaaaaa! Mummy na!" I said as I whined like a little girl.
"Open something jare!" Susan's husband, Mr George, who had been silent all this while, spoke.
I am hard to started to untie it. Ope offered to help and soon we had a box unveiled. Everyone rushed to take a look at what was inside the box.
"Oh my God!"
"Jesus is Lord!"
"This is unbelievable!"
"Juliet is lucky oooo!"
These were the comments I got from those standing by, cause right inside the box was an....was an...... An engagement ring.
Romeo took the ring and went down on one knee. He held my hand gently and held out the ring. I was so shy that I covered my face with my free hand.
"Chai! Julie angel don dey shy shy oooo! Love is dumb!" Pastor Henry commented.
"Love is blind, not dumb!" Mr Abayomi corrected and brought out his phone to video the event. Before I knew what was going on, there were more camera men, filming the proposal.
I seriously had to hide my face.
"Robert please tell that you're shy shy wife to resurface so that the camera can view it!" Susan said.
"Please you people should stop interrupting and let this proposal take place." My dad said.
"Ewooooo! Father of the bride is curious to see the proposal take place." Mr Abayomi said and we all burst into laughter.
"Juliet! Look into my eyes!" Romeo requested.
"No!" I screamed.
"What useless no is that? Brothers, please do justice to her face!" My Dad ordered.
Two guys walked up to me and forced my hand away from my face. I was close to tears and emotions overwhelmed me.
"Go ahead and propose bro! We're with you!" George said.
"Miss Juliet Aanuoluwapo Anderson, the first day I met you will remain an unforgettable day in my life. I have known you for a long time as a friend, but I want to be more than just a friend to you."
"Awwwwnnnn!" Susan exclaimed.
"Stop interrupting!" Mummy frowned.
"I want you to be my purpose partner, my lifetime companion, the mother of my children and the only woman that will move the mountain of my heart.
Will you marry me?"
"I need to propose to my wife afresh!" Pastor Henry said.
"Haaaaaaaa! This is too much!" Ella added.
"So what's her answer?" My Dad asked.
"Yes!" I said in a whisper.
"What?" Mr Abayomi asked.
"We didn't hear you oooo!"
I felt like the ground should open and swallow me. So Romeo was this romantic and was successfully hiding his true colour?
"YOU WERE THE ONE COMPLAINING MY SON IS OVER SPIRITUAL. NOW HE'S BEING ROMANTIC, YOU CANNOT TALK AGAIN. PLEASE DO WELL AND ANSWER MY SON FAST BEFORE I GIVE HIM TO ANOTHER WOMAN!"
"Daddy calm down na! Any small thing you will be threatening me!" I said laughing.
"MY SON IS A HOT CAKE. IF YOU DON'T RUSH HIM ANOTHER PERSON WILL RUSH HIM."
"Daddy me too I'm hot cake oooo!" He started laughing immediately I said that.
"So are you marrying Robert or not?" My Dad asked.
"Daddy take it easy na! Small small!" Mr Abayomi replied and we all laughed.
"Yes! I will be your wife!" I answered to the hearing of everyone.
The shout that followed was alarming. Everyone was speaking at the same time. Congratulating me and cheering at Romeo.
I feel butterflies in my stomach as Romeo fixed the ring on my finger.
