Each group went through the door onto the second peak but as they arrived separately and each one passing their trials, and some were taken out as they couldn't endure the trials on the path.
On arrival onto the second peak there was an eerie contrast and a familiar resemblance to the first ancient sect that appeared after the thousand-year war. As they came through the path, they stared at the erected building on the second peak.
" I SEE MOST OF YOU HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR, WELCOME TO THE HIGHEST PEAK OF TIANXUN MOUNTAIN, YOU PASSED THE TRIAL OF ILLUSIONS AND DESIRES AND YOU HAVE COME HERE. THE FINAL TRIAL HERE IS JUST SIMPLE AND WHO EVER WINS WILL HAVE TOTALL DOMINION OVER THE TIANXUN MOUNTAINS. HEAD OVER INTO THE BUILDING IN FRONT OF YOU AND YOU'LL SEE A FIGHTING ARENA BESIDE IT THERE ARE THREE LARGE INCENSE STICKS. YOU HAVE TILL THEY BURN OUT TO FIGHT AND SELECT A WINNER FROM ALL OF YOU.YOU CAN START RIGHT NOW THE INCENSE STICKS HAVE STARTED BURNING." Landia's voice resonated from within the building as he relayed the final test to everyone who had made it this far, he smiled as he looked at them from a far as his holographic eyes scanned them looking for Reece.
"You can't be serious now have to fight each other." One of the disciples exclaimed as he looked at around. Just as he was turning his back to run to the building, he was struck down by another disciple who had also began running towards the building, he plunged his sword into his back and killed him on the spot.
The others saw this and were on alert and this resulted to an all-out war and battle driven disciples who wanted the treasures. The atmosphere crackled with tension as the disciples of the cultivation sect's and families too found themselves on the brink of an all-out war. The treasures hidden within the ancient temple were alluring and each one of them wanted them.
Energies surged, swords clashed, blood stained the earth and the earth itself seemed to tremble in response to the unleashed power. Amidst the chaos, the Jao sect disciples found themselves at a disadvantage as both of their elite disciples, Reece and Lian, were nowhere to be seen and they could help them survive this onslaught.
Reece was stuck on the void path as he was reeling on what he had just witnessed and was trying to maintain his sanity. He was meditating trying to advance his cultivation while in the void, he wanted to use the energy that was creating the illusion to further his cultivation and have a breakthrough.
The battle raged on, with neither of the sides willing to back down. The treasures remained hidden within the temple, and the disciple's and families continued to fight over their fate. Led by Prince Li Ziran, the Baihua disciples went on to join hands with the Jao sect disciples to fight and help each other.
"Why are you helping us, and you could easily take us out of the contest and have this place all to yourselves." Huaje asked as a hint of suspicion occupied her mind as she found it hard to believe their actions and kept thinking whether they had an ulterior motive.
"To be honest I'd rather help you and be with you right now than be against you. To ease your suspicions, we'd rather face every other sect here than fight you red crimson devil when he arrives here. So, it's a gamble on our part too we don't want to die and still we get to help each other survive till he arrives to get us out of this slaughter." Li Ziran explained his motives to Huaje to ease her suspicions and also create a good rapport with Reece by helping them.
The battle between the disciples and families of the cultivation sect's and empires unfolded as a mesmerizing display of skill, technique, and endurance. The clashes were a blur of lightning-fast sword strikes and intricate hand seals, each fighter demonstrating their unique techniques. Those who favored swordsmanship exhibited a dazzling array of forms – the Nine turns of heaven, the Silent Shadows, and the Tranquille's Dance. Their blades sliced through the air with a symphony of metallic harmonies, and sparks of energy erupted upon contact.
The practitioners of elemental magic conjured tempests of fire, torrents of water, and gusts of wind. Fiery phoenixes soared through the sky, waves of water crashed like tidal forces, and gusts of wind formed into razor-sharp blades. Their techniques were as diverse as the elements they controlled, and the battleground became a vivid canvas of elemental chaos.
As the battle raged on, disciples utilized acrobatic flips, nimble footwork, and deft dodges to evade their opponents' attacks. Reece had just finished his meditation in the void path and was on his way to the exit and arrive at the second peak.
Those who had a high cultivation base in the Blood Seed formation realm sensed a familiar and yet vague power approaching fast, it was a foreboding of what was coming to change the course of the battle.
"Stop fighting each other effortlessly and let's kill the Jao sect disciples quickly and get rid of them once and for all," Andrea said as she slowly lured the others to take a decisive action against the Jao sect disciples as she knew the power she sensed could only mean one person was about to arrive. She smiled anxiously as she tried to hide her fear as the other disciples listened to her and launched an attack on the Jao sect and Baihua empire disciples who were helping them.
"Where is the crimson?" Li Ziran asked as he was being overwhelmed by the numbers of opponents who came his way," if he doesn't show up soon we'll all be dead meat and our blood will be nourishing the earth."
"Hwang try the crystal and locate him and send him a message that we need help," Huaje quickly instructed as she fended off the attacks to give him some room to contact Reece.
"Okay senior sister," Hwang retreated back and began trying to contact Reece, just as he began the crystal lit up and he noticed it and a smile lit up his face, "Senior sister he's here, he's arrived."
" Look up there, the crimson has arrived," Another disciple shouted as he spotted the crimson coming in hot while flying in the air.
