Chapter 3 - THE KING'S FALL

I could feel my heartbeat, the pill surged up energy in me like a flood gate had been opened and it was coursing through my veins, my heart began to race, and my breathing came fast and shallow. As I channeled the energy into my arms, they began to shake from the force of containing and directing that much raw power. My meridians were widening, and the untapped raw power was surging forward, I couldn't care less as I had prior experience in the world of cultivation and with the little knowledge I had I utilized all the full power and potential of my holy body.

"I fell back, settling into a defensive stance as I took in my foe. There was a pain in my leg and in my side: I was wounded but not out of the fight yet. Hades growled; teeth bared. If I don't stop it now, there's no telling what it'll do. I shook my head, and with a renewed will, launched myself at the beast."

I had no idea h[w to utilize this power but what I knew in my heart was i would not fall here today, and i would live to find my father.

Hades approached with clenched an open fist claw protruding and lit up on fire, The blow felt too sluggish. Reece knew the second Hades launched it. Before Reece could even register the dodge, however, another body shot, this one to his ribs, sent fresh ripples of pain through his torso. He didn't fall—he made absolutely sure he did not fall—but it was a lot closer than he'd have liked. Hades went in for another shot. Reece shot a right hook and with the surging power in his arm he caught Hades by surprise and absolutely jammed his right fist in his face the sheer amount of force was enough to send a normal mortal to hells gates.

It was unreal. Between the pain in his nose and teeth and the general confusion (some would call it being punch drunk), the sight of Reece on his feet after the patented amount of pain left Hades distraught and confused as to the sheer amount of will Reece had. Hades left-right-left was not something he wanted to see. He threw a haymaker that Reece ducked but didn't parry, then another that Reece swung under again—and responded in turn with an uppercut.

Click. The sound of Hades upper and lower rows of teeth making unplanned contact sickened him. Still, he kept his feet. He had to. Falling down was not—

Reece and Hades circled each other, each one grinning at the tension they had caused in the room. Suddenly, Reece leapt forward, charging Hades. Unprepared, Reece recoiled from a punch to his jaw with a wince. In retaliation, he prepared to strike Hades in the stomach, but he hesitated. As he saw Hades draw a large spear from the ground, he turned the entire ground into his battle domain and black blood oozed from the ground and a red spear emerged. Reece leapt back as he looked closely as the ground changed beneath him, he stared blankly at the spear as he felt a slight bit of fear as he was now on a disadvantage.

And they were off. HADES leapt catlike from the ledge, waving the hooked blade in figure eights multiple times before touching down on the ground again. Hades cracked a smile. This time, he made sure to make eye contact. For a brief moment, he could see uncertainty in his opponent's eyes. He felt grateful for the advantage.

Advancing. Advancing. Hades charged at him with the hooked spear upheld, going to his fore swing and following it with a backswing. Reece dodged the first and met the second with a fist full of mana and halting the spears trajectory. The weight of the force sent Hades' back, back, back…but not far enough to knock the spear free of his hands.

Striking. This arcing shot sliced the fabric of Reece's shirt at the midsection. It missed the flesh behind it by perhaps a centimeter.

Reece staggered. Hades swung. His spear missed, though not close enough to eat fabric. Reece managed another smirk, this time at the spryness of his dodge. Hades had to admit it was impressive, but this time, the sight only made him angrier.

Swing. Swing. Swing. The first two missed badly, but the third, a backswing off the one before it, found flesh. The heavy spear ate through Reece's flesh as easily as air. He dropped to a knee, tried to stand, and dropped again.

Reece had a bit of difficulty standing up but the endless smirk on his face was still visible. His laughter rocked the battle ground as Hades was caught unaware and halted as he was licking the blood of his spear to have a taste of primordial blood.

"...I'VE got to say thank you, Thanks to you know I can fully say I'm catching up to your speed. IF this had been a fight when I was still an ordinary mortal, I'd be dead by now nut since I've now achieved a cultivator's status, I can be on par with you.... HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Now let's go again, let's keep fighting, uurgh shstuufufshd!!!! Reece spouted out blood and rose up again as he took a meditative stance and activated his five acupoints subconsciously and allowed more power and energy to surge through him.

With his eyes closed he could retrace a ancient battle body technique subconsciously, through his inherent primordial blood and body there were flashes of techniques and cultivation methods that were imprinted in this sea pf consciousness. With these techniques they seemed to show him the way forward, as he was deeply immersed in his consciousness.

(VAJRA DEMON BODY : THROUGH EXTERNAL STIMULATION AND SURPARSSING STRONGER OPPONENTS IN BATTLE WILL LEAD TO BREAKTHROUGH OF THE REALM AND INCREASE IN STRENGHTH)

".....AAAAAAARGGHHHH,,,.....Why are you so persistent mortal.." Hades irked as he approached Reece with his spear.

He set his spear aimed at Reece and ready to plunge it in his chest....
