The Fourth Ruler of Flames was among the clones who had absorbed their original counterparts to start anew. Conversely, Returners began as pure beings, retaining only the memories from their awakened lives.
In time, they recalled all the atrocities they committed, including the agony endured after becoming Abominations. This resulted in random psychotic episodes, costing the Organization numerous missions and significant casualties.
Such carnage invariably left too many witnesses, whose reports of Abomination sightings enabled their adversaries to deduce the Organization's activities.
Consequently, executing the Master's plan became significantly more challenging.
