Chapter 2 - 2. Dilemma

Perfect sharp nose, sharp eyebrows like swords, beautiful saga red pupils, white hair glistening like silver.

That's just a little description for the handsome man in front of me. It's hard for me to imagine if he's actually real.

I could feel the warmth of his hands holding me tight, and the sound of his heart beating. A handsome man who now finally took me in his lap and hugs.

Oh, the description of that handsome man is for my Dad. He is 27 years old!.

Oh Lord. He is younger than me. I mean. My age in my previous life was thirty years old, but now it's different. Of course, my age is far below my dad. Now I am thirty years old but the zeros are omitted.

Yep. Right. My name is Cellia Leonhart and I am three years old. I am the only daughter of Grand Duke Leonhart. It was a small piece of information I got after obtaining the original memories of the owner of this body.

"My dear Cellia, is there still pain?" asked Duke Leonhart.

I speechless--stared at Duke Leonhart--digesting all the illogical things in my mind--and I finally reached a conclusion.

"I must be crazy..."

Right.

I would be considered crazy if I was still in my old world, but now it's different. Now I am Cellia Leonhart, the only daughter of Grand Duke Leonhart--a very cared for and cherished child. Cellia was blessed with a father who gave everything for her including full love. And this blessing is now mine.

"Daddy..." I said.

Can I call him daddy right now? No. I really want to do it!. I want to call the figure of Duke Leonhart who looks at me with warmth and tenderness as daddy. At the very least, he would be my biological father in this world and I should call him dady as the one who has his blood in me.

"Yes, dear? Do you want something to eat or drink?" Duke Leonhart replied.

My dad looks still worried about me.

"Cellia wants daddy" I said.

I hugged my dad tightly as if I was afraid to lose him. To be honest, what I said just now was the words that the real Cellia had buried before she finally died. Because my feelings and Cellia's had become one, so I understood it and I decided to say what was pent up.

From the information I got from this body. Cellia died of a severe fever, and her fever was caused because she was holding on to her own emotions and thoughts. And the reason why he endured the burden of thoughts and emotions was because Duke Leonhart was about to remarry for the second time.

Yes, I think I understand Cellia's feelings even though I never felt I had parents, but at least I can define a little of the feelings that burden Cellia. It feels like you are being cheated on and betrayed by someone you love, but this definition is too much for young Cellia. Plus it's meant for her father, and not for her lover. Maybe simply, this is the feeling of a very big fear of loss.

"Of course. Your daddy will always be there for my Cellia. Daddy belongs to Cellia..." said Duke Leonhart. He is make a hanging word with soft voice.

My dad smiled too. I think he's hiding something but he chose not to tell me. That way I can only guess what's on his mind by trying to feel in his position.

If I were in my dad's position. I will definitely do anything for my child, including for his happiness.

So, the reason my daddy wanted to remarry was actually maybe not because he fell in love again, but he just wanted me to be happy with the presence of a mother figure by my side. But unfortunately Cellia only wanted to be by her father's side. After her mother went to heaven, Cellia became so sad that she was afraid of losing her father. And for Cellia, her father's marriage will make her lonely again. He was afraid that his father would no longer be there for him. But on the other hand, Cellia also wants her father to be happy.

After hearing the whispered conversations of some of the residents of Duke Leonhart's residence, Cellia thought "Father will be happy if he remarries..."

Cellia just nodded her head and acted as if she was happy with her father's wedding. However, the day before her father's wedding, Cellia suddenly fell unconscious at the edge of the park and eventually fell ill.

What is the fate of my dad's marriage now? I don't know, but I don't think I need to worry about my dad's marriage. After all my daddy married not because he fell in love again, even so I have to consider Cellia's feelings and Duke Leonhart's feelings right now.

Knock!. Knock!

A man dressed as a royal knight knocked on the door before being allowed in by my daddy.

"Vincent. What's wrong?" asked Duke Leonhart.

My Dad's tried to remain calm. He didn't want me to know about something that might be bad.

The man whispered. "My Lord. Lady Helia is waiting for your answer and it seems she doesn't accept it if you cancel the wedding"

"I will be right away over there to take care of it"

"Yes my lord. Excuse me"

The man called Vincent left from this room.

I tried to see my dad's face. He had a stiff expression. I'm sure he was in deep thought but I couldn't figure it out this time.

"My little Cellia, daddy has to come out for a while. You rest better. Father will come back later..."

My daddy then laid me down on the bed again and tucked me in. He kissed my forehead before finally leaving.

My room became quiet. There was only one maid who was very quiet and looked very obedient like a robot. I'm very curious. What would my daddy want to do? Looks like he has some urgent his work, but I can't go anywhere if I'm guarded like this. The only way is to distract the maid.

"Vio..." I called.

Luckily I have the memory information of this body so I know the name of this robotic looking maidservant. Vio was Duke Leonhart's hand-picked handmaiden to nurture and look after me. I guess she's the only female knight dressed as a maid in this residence I thought.

"Yes, My young lady. Does young lady Cellia need anything?" Ask Vio.

"Mi ... milk" I said.

"Young lady Cellia thirsty?" Ask Vio.

I nod weakly.

"Okay. I'll get it for My young lady Cellia. Does my young lady Cellia also want to bury something?"

When I heard the word food, I suddenly became hungry, but what does Cellia usually eat? Her favorite food?.

"Is there anything else?" I shook my head. I just want Vio to quickly leave the room so I can get out of the room for a while!.

"Okay. I'll get it first"

Vio left.

After a few minutes Vio came out, I got off my bed and went out of the room.

"Young lady Cellia?!. My goodness, why did you get out of bed?. Does My young lady need anything?" Asked the man who had come to whisper something to my dad. Oh. His name is Vincent!. Turns out he was assigned to guard outside my room!. Stupid!. Why didn't I mind the guards outside?!.

Oh my gosh ... I racked my brains and searched for excuses at full speed.

"My young lady Celia?"

"Vi-Vio!" I so fass to answer.

I said. I'm out of ideas. More precisely, I can't use my head to think. I'm still dizzy.

"Vio? Isn't she getting milk and sweetmeat buns for you? Did you forget something to say to her?"

I then nodded.

"Okay. Because I can't leave you, so I'll take you to Vio" said the man.

He then took me in his arms. Alright. It's not bad. At least I can see the surroundings.

Along the corridor, I saw several maids and some people looks important but I don't know them. They seem to be talking about my daddy.

"You hear?. It is said that duke Leonhart postponed his wedding just because daughter Cellia fell ill..."

"Not delaying again but Duke Leonhart is planning to canceling the wedding!"

"Only because daughter Cellia is Fever?"

"Yes. And I guess, the cause of Young Lady Cellia's illness was because of Duke Leonhart who wanted to remarry, so ... I think Duke Leonhart also realized this. That's why he called off the wedding"

"You're right. It feels like Young Lady Cellia doesn't like her father getting married again…"

"But, what about Lady Helia? I think Duke Leonhart is an impudent man if he ignores Lady Helia's feelings by calling off his wedding just because of young lady Cellia, right?" Someone whispered.

"It's true, the public will look at him that way, but I personally agree with Duke Leonhart canceling the wedding. To be honest, Lady Helia is a worse woman than his old wife, a duchess Alliciaa" someone else replied in a whisper.

Luckily I was passing by them so I could hear their slightly hidden conversation. Daddy is in danger!. My instincts told me so if daddy cancels the wedding. Not only my dad's, but myself also suddenly felt a threat if my daddy married the woman called Lady Helia.

"What should I do?. No!. Can I do something?" I thought.

Now I'm just a child who is seen as knowing nothing. I'm in a dilemma. Marry or not. All choices seem to have a negative impact for my dad.
