Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Departure

A weird weightless feeling were all she could feel.

In this place, no state, she feels nothing, there was only darkness and the endless silence. Even the sense of temperature disappeared alongside her other senses.

But one thing was clear for her, she could think, meaning, she still has her own self identity.

And so, stuck in the middle of this endless abyss, the only thing she could do was reminisce.

Her childhood, life experiences throughout her adolescence, up to her adulthood. These were her precious memories. The only things that have kept her human in this lonely state.

She remembered that time when her father took her to the park for the first time. That was the only time her father was able to do that, mainly because of work. Her father was always tied to his construction work, barely giving him the time to bond with his family. But despite his busy schedule, he was still somehow able to make time while also making money.

Obviously, their family was not well-off, the earliest memories of her only showed that they were impoverished since her birth.

But her father always told her that their family was a branch family of a once-powerful wealthy family. This family was once so powerful that it was able to control a magnanimous empire back then, without even ruling it directly.

As a child she always believed what father told her, but now as an adult, she thought that he was only a creative narrator.

After a while of reminiscing she started to feel warm again for the first time in a long while, as if she was beginning to feel alive again.

Until suddenly, light filled up her previously nonexistent vision, knocking her out of consciousness for the second time.

___

*BANG*

The sound of roaring thunder and lightning were all that she could hear.

*WOOSH*

The sight of the leaves dancing to the wind were all that she could see all around her vision as she looks towards the stormy sky.

Drip-drop. The bone-chilling raindrops hit her bare skin like bullets being fired towards her at the speed of light, were all that she could feel.

*WOOSH*

While the smell of the petrichor from the rain hitting the dirt all around her, mixed with a rusty smell were all that she could pick up with her nose.

She tried her best to mumble a word, but because of an immovable force that locks her jaw up, she could only grit her teeth in desperation.

She also tried to muster up the strength to stand up, but the heavy rain bolting upon her skin, combined with the cold penetrating her bones only gave her the feeling of an unending weakness.

Even her eyes were only slightly open to prevent some of the rain drops from directly hitting her eyes.

And with all of these horrible sensations gnawing at her soul by the second, her consciousness were beginning to fade for the third time.

(I'm dying..... again)

Even her thoughts were incomplete.

___

*CHIRP*

The sounds of the birds invaded her ears.

Moving her eyelids quickly, she opened up her eyes to see the bright light that shone through the window.

She was currently directly looking at a wooden ceiling, with various beams and supports entailing each other to form a complex network of foundation for the roof.

Alina stood up from her slumber.

White sheets, a wooden bed frame, planters beside on top of the white cedar wood end tables, white curtains, hanged paintings, and an ornamented medium-sized mirror. These were the furnitures and features she was able to easily notice from within this room.

And as she continued to look around, she began hearing a muffled electrical noise, as if a cut live wire was whizzing across her face.

But after a while, she soon began noticing a floating blue light appear right in front of her face. Then it quickly expanded into a quadrilateral geometery, making it look like a UI screen of a computer.

But what shocked her the most were the letters that formed words that began appearing on top of the floating blue screen.
