Lola gently pushed the door open peeking in, there were a few small lion cubs running around.
she blinked watching them run around before hearing a voice call her.
"come in! welcome to our shop!" Daisy called walking past the playing Cubs.
Lola stepped in looking back out at zero in the distance.
zero quietly stood scratching his back against one of the shops rock walls.
giving a stupid smile from relieving the itch.
Lola giggles shutting the door looking at Daisy.
she was really pretty! long red hair with blue eyes.
she was about 5'4 with fox-like features.
Lola put her finger against the bottom part of her lip.
"are you a fox?" she asked gently.
Daisy smiled "yes I am, these are my cubs."
she said look down at the lion cubs.
Lola lowered her brows in confusion
"but... you're a fox and they are lion cubs.
did you adopt them?"
she asked looking at the cubs rolling on the floor.
Daisy laughs "no they are my cubs, they take after their father.
how old are you my dear?
you seem pretty naive and young?"
she said bending down to her cubs patting their heads.
Lola let out a soft hum before nodding
"am 19.
I am new here. I don't know much about this place." she said gently.
Daisy let out a soft breath "oh well welcome to the north then. you'll like it here.
just be careful we don't really have the supplies that we used to.
there have been more fights as of recent... people stealing and...just a mess." Daisy said giving a saddened face before looking up.
"oh how rude of me, is there anything I can help you with?" she asked standing up.
Lola scratched her head "I really need clothes that fit me.
zero sent me in here, he said you'd be able to help me.
I am currently wearing his...old pants." she said.
Daisy laughed "I should have known zero sent you in here! he was right to.
come on dear let's see if we can find you something that actually fits.
what kind of clothes are you wanting?"
she asked grabbing her arm leading deeper in the shop.
Lola looked up trying to think before answering.
"just something cheap I guess and, that covers well."
she said looking around at the variety of clothes.
There were simple cheap clothes made of hide.
some were plant fiber and hide.
while others almost looked like what uno was wearing, like someone had sat down with a needle and thread.
Daisy walked over "we have some simple hide shorts and pants along with a wrap around bra." she said grabbing them off the table.
"Honestly they're not very flexible.
the hide and fiber grass cloths are more flexible." she said grabbing another set of clothes handing them to her.
Lola blinked looking at both sets of clothes.
the simple hide cloths seemed to be made from decent stitching.
Daisy was right they didn't feel very flexible, they seemed to be made with deer skin.
she turned to the hide and fiber grass cloths.
the shorts felt flexible and cool, in this hide felt soft.
the hide appeared to be better treated, they even dyed it to a pretty pink color.
the fiber grass was stitched in giving it a more flexible feel. along with a pretty flower pattern.
she wondered looking up.
"can you dye the green fiber grass purple to go with the pink?" she asked Daisy.
Daisy nodded smiling "I actually have a set already made like that.
it's 15 coins..."
Daisy said before pausing.
"I'll sell it to you for 10 coins since zero brought you here.
plus I can tell you need clothes."
she said softly walking behind the counter grabbing the cloth for Lola.
Lola smiles jumping in excitement "it's so pretty! you need to show me how you do it one day."
Lola said overwhelmed with joy.
Daisy laughed "so full of energy and enthusiasm.
I love it!"
Lola handed over the 10 coins taking the clothes smiling brightly.
"thank you so much, I am tired of wearing zero old shorts." Lola said with excitement.
Daisy followed Lola to the door nodding "tell zero I said hi, y'all be safe out there."
Lola nodded smiling walking out holding the clothes tightly before remembering.
zero told her to check out the store across the way, so she could have some food at the house.
she looked around feeling a little confused.
There were a few stores side by side across the way.
was it all 3 of them?
she thought to herself walking over before smelling the air.
It smelled good, like fresh cooked meat.
Lola saw smoke coming from the far right store.
the smell was coming from there!
she opened the door walking in looking around.
there were so many strong smells, it was pretty overwhelming.
she blinking smiling, seeing the counter with all kinds of food in it.
breads, meats, veggies and fruits, even some things she didn't recognize.
a deep voice called her. "hello welcome to the grants family shop.
how are you doing today?" he said leaning over the counter.
he was huge, standing 7'1 with a big black Beard.
messy short black hair, with scars all along his arms.
Lola looked up eyes wide in shock.
"You're so tall!"
the man laughed "compared to you yes I am. as a black bear so we are naturally tall."
he said standing up straight.
had had on deer hide skin to cover his crotch.
Lola shook her head before saying with an outreach hand. "my name is Lola it's nice to meet you I am new here."
she said still amazed at his height.
he chuckled shaking her hand. "am tim, is there anything you're looking for?" he asked.
Lola nodded "I need something that won't spoil. jerky can keep for a while right?"
Tim nodded "anywhere between 30 days to 60 days. depending on how you store it."
he said pointing to the left.
"we have deer jerky, turkey, wild boar, wild goat, buffalo."
he said before pointing a finger up.
"the prices are listed with the jerky.
buffalo being the most expensive.
we don't hunt them often to protect the herd.
we only take down weaker are already injured buffalo that won't make it."
Lola nodded walking over looking at the jerky.
pork and deer seemed to be the cheapest, $5 coins. she pointed to the pork and deer.
"can I have a pound of deer jerky.
and any chance you have some eggs?" she asked.
he walked over grabbing a pound of deer jerky putting it in a pork hide bag.
" I'll give you a free hide bag since it's your first time with us. and we do have eggs.
it's $10 coins for 10 eggs.
we also have dried fish, it'd stay good for 2 months. the salmon is 2 coins each.
Lola nodded "I'll take two please."
Tim put everything in the hide bag handing it over.
Lola handed him the 19 coins smiling, "thank you so much Tim.
I hope to visit your shop again soon."
she said heading out the door watching Tim wave.
she shut the door turning around before bumping into zeros chest.
he laughed "you are taking so long, asking so many questions. i was so lonely out here.
it's been years since I've seen you." he said being dramatic giving her a fake sad face.
Lola rolled her eyes "so dramatic, you should have just come with me then." she said crossing her arms.
zero smiled give a chuckle before "we should take the stuff home.
come on, I can give you a ride?"
Lola tilted her head confused "your gonna carry me?"
she said "how!?"
zero busted out laughing taking his shorts off throwing them on her head.
"Iam a horse you can ride in my back stupid."
Lola blushed shaking her head grabbing his shorts.
"hey come on!" she looked up seeing him turning into a centaur.
she blinked eyes growing big gasping.
zero laughed lifting his hoof up "you can use my hoof to climb up.
let's go home."
he said.
