Lola let go of the door moving over tilting her head. "wait what happened to your sister?" she asked walking through the gate.
zero looked down letting out a breath.
"I am honestly not sure how to explain it.
they had a big fight. they just aren't on good terms right now. I am sure they will make up soon." he said trailing off on the last sentence.
Lola nodded gently grabbing his hand. "I promise I won't bring it up.
so she isn't gonna be there." she asked.
zero gave a sad look shaking his head.
"no, I haven't seen her in a while.
I wanted to make a trip to see her but..." he said before looking Lola in her eyes. he forced a smile. "it's okay, I am sure you'll get to meet her." he said lead her down the dirt path heading back to the shops.
Lola put her hand to her lip asking,
"so Uno is your brother, I am guessing he lives in the house behind the shops. your other brother lives right across the way.
what is his name?" Lola asked.
zero laughed.
" his our mother's favorite. his name is
Waldo." he said looking up.
they walked past the shops leaving the dirt path to a stone made path.
Lola nodded seeing the big house, they look nicely made.
zero looked down seeing she hadn't let go of his hands, he smiled gently feeling warm.
Lola pointed toward the buildings.
"where is your brother's home?" she asked.
he looked forward. "see that white house in the distance." he said walking up to the building.
Lola smiled "oh, so should we knock?" she asked.
zero knocked on the door before yelling.
"mom! mom! I brought you a girl?" he said jokingly laughing.
Lola blinked eyes wide looking at him.
"what!?"
she said pushing him.
zero laughed hearing the door open.
an older woman glares at zero, she has snow white hair. she appeared to be in her 60s.
Lola smiled waving, "hello zeros mom, umm... what's your name?" she asked feeling a little worried.
she smiled grabbing Lola's arm.
"am Ann! zero actually did bring a girl home!
please tell me your gonna give me a foal to!? are any grand children!" she said
Lola blinked eyes wide.
"oh! no no no. he actually saved me. his been taking care of me. his a sweet guy.
I bet he will give you cute grandkids tho." she said smiling feeling embarrassed.
zero looked like he was fighting back laughter.
"Mom, I don't think she's ready for that."
Ann glared at zero before pulling her in.
"all the more reason to mate with him!
he will give you strong kids!" she said smiling at Lola.
Lola blushed looking back at zero mouthing
'help me' .
zero busted out laughing hearing Uno call out.
"mom leave that poor girl alone!
if I were her I wouldn't want to touch zero either." he said laughing.
Lola looked around as Ann walked her in.
the house was big, she looked down at the plant fiber rug at the door.
the door was made with a black type of wood.
she then turned seeing as they entered into a living room / kitchen.
there was a table in the right corner with tall chairs.
she looked over seeing Uno and a tall woman with blond hair.
she smiled at Lola cutting up zucchini, "hello Lola." she said.
Lola waved at her.
there was a counter with a storage container like zero had for food.
the counter looked to be made of marble.
"you have a very nice home miss Ann."
zero walked in shutting the door waving to his brother and his mate.
Ann smiled
" thank you, I can't wait for you to bring grand children over." she said zero smiled looking at uno.
"uno why don't you give her another grand kid." he asked.
uno rolled his eyes.
"you can, but you're too lazy."
he said.
Lola felt flustered at the thought of doing it with zero face blushing.
Ann was very forward with wanting kids.
zero smiled seeing Lola's flustered face walking over grabbing her shoulders.
"Why are you blushing so hard Lola?"
Lola glared at zero.
"zero, no kids." she said poking him.
zero laughed "am sorry mom no kids from me anytime soon."
Ann rolled her eyes before hearing a tap at the door.
it sounded like a hoof tapping against the door.
she opened the door and a small foal ran in.
Lola stepped aside as the foal ran in whining and jumping around.
Ann walked over grabbing the foal's face "aww there my grand baby! look at how big you have gotten." she said.
the brown foal smiled head butting her.
a man walked in smiling, he wasn't as tall like zero but wasn't short.
he has short brown hair with deep brown eyes. "oh zero brought a girl over?" he asked.
zero held Lola.
"yeah, she new to town. we aren't mates am just helping her get settled in.
she'll be working out in the fields with us." he said.
Waldo walked over reaching out his hand.
"am Waldo nice to meet you miss?" he asked.
"my name is Lola.
nice to meet you. zero talked a bit about y'all."
she said smiling.
Waldo shook her hand before laughing.
"the foal is mine. her name is hope.
hope baby this is Lola can you say hi?"
he asked.
hope jumped over rubbing her head on Lola letting out a whine.
Lola smiled rubbing her head.
"nice to meet you hope, your a very sweet foal." Lola said.
Ann smiled chiming in.
"zero can give you a foal to you know." she said putting her hands together.
Waldo busted out laughing.
"mom, you really think a foal of zeros would be sweet?
remember all zero trouble making as a kid."
Lola looked at zero.
"you where trouble?" she asked.
uno smiled " he was a wild one."
zero shrugged "y'all just didn't wanna have fun." Ann walked over smacking him upside the head.
"boy!" she said.
Lola laughed "zero trouble I can't believe it.
his nothing but sweet." she said.
both brothers laughed before Ann shot them a look.
"you 2 weren't easy either." she said.
the women next to uno smiled.
"food is almost done if Uno pays attention and finishes the rice.
Lola I hope you like fish, am...not quite sure on how to cook it but my friend made it.
so it should be very good." she pulled out a boxes opening it.
lola smelled the air feeling her stomach growl.
"that smells amazing, thank you." she said walking over.
the blonde spoke smiling.
"my name is queen. am one of unos mates." she said putting the fish on a wooden plate.
uno stepped away finishing the food.
Lola smiled.
"nice to meet you am Lola."
she said.
zero and his mother talked behind them.
she seemed to be fussing at zero quietly, zero smiled like he wasn't even fazed.
he looked at Lola seeing her getting along with everyone smiling.
Lola turned around seeing zero smiling at her.
"zero, you have a nice family.
thank y'all for letting me come over." she said looking at Ann.
Ann walked over smiling.
"am just happy to see my boy with a pretty young lady." she said.
before hearing Uno call.
"food is done."
hope ran over jumping up at uno
excited to eat.
Waldo walked over grabbing her, "patient baby. you'll get food I promise." he said rubbing her head.
Lola giggled before feeling zero grab her shoulder.
"let's go sit down."
Lola nodded walking over to the table with zero sitting down.
Waldo sat down before giving hope a pillow to sit down.
Ann sat down smiling watching uno and queen sat the plates down.
Lola smiled "thank you." she said looking at the fish and zucchini on her plate.
the rice looked nice and soft.
she looked at zero who already had a mouth full of rice.
Ann rolled her eyes grabbing her spoon smiling.
"so Lola where do you come from?" she asked.
