The helicopter loomed larger and more grandiose than Anna had envisioned.
"Let's go," Ray said, and they advanced toward the waiting aircraft. With a helping hand, he guided her into the front seat, shutting the door with a resonant slam. Crossing over to the other side, he settled into the front as well.
"Relax, but don't touch anything," he ordered as he took his seat. The floodlit area allowed Anna to observe every detail of the cockpit. Her eyes eagerly scanned the array of buttons, contemplating the complexity of flying a machine like this. Learning to drive a car had been challenging enough, but the intricacies of a helicopter cockpit seemed like an entirely different realm, especially with Ray taking on the role of the pilot.
