Chapter 15 - He doesn't age

She fell onto the wet surface of the ground which was used previously to load up some fish.

Anna became so angry as she stood up smelling like a fish. Her face turned into a shade of red as she stared at Marcos. She looked down at her dress which was wet with water.

"Go on." He nudged his head forward. "Throw a punch at me."

"Forget that I came with you due to some circumstances. Why did you let me fall?" She glared at him. "You should have supported me."

"Supported you?" His face was plastered with a blank expression. "Why should I help you when you are just a common maid."

"I was already falling to your side when you pushed me and you couldn't even come to help." If only he was not the Master she would have smacked him with her five fingers. Maybe then, it would have registered to him to help any lady in that situation.

"Get out!" He ordered.

Anna froze, having no clue as what he meant when he told her to get out. The more he was staring at her, the more she was angered at his calm expression.

"What do you mean?" She asked him, wanting to sit down but his hard glare made her nervous.

"I said get out." He told her calmly. "I want you out of this boat now."

"We're in the middle of a deep River and you want me out? To where exactly?" Her brows furrowed with annoyance.

"You can go anywhere you want but I do not want to see you here in this boat." He said.

Suddenly, the boat swayed again causing Anna to fall directly at him. The boat continued to sway due to the heavy storm and all Anna could do was hug him.

"Let go of me." He tried to push her away but she hugged him tight, not wanting to fall into the river. She clung onto him as the storm became really strong.

"Where do you expect me to go? The storm is too strong." She buried her face into his coat.

In a swift movement, he grabbed her waist and pulled her off, making her land in the boat. But with her hands still around him, the both of them fell on the ground.

When Marcos regained himself, he opened his eyes to see pink strawberry lips in front of him. They were inches apart and she could feel his warm breathe fanning her face.

Marcos quickly stood up and was lucky that he had fallen on her and not the boat surface.

Anna stood up with anger. Her body was drenched with the water from the boat and she was smelling profusely like fish. She sat down far away from him with drenched body.

When the boat reached the other side of the river, Anna was the first to step out. Her blood was boiling with hot rage and she knew if she spent more time with him in the boat, she would end up losing her job as maid and maybe her life too.

A carriage was waiting for them there and Anna quickly entered the carriage and sat down. Marcos went inside and the carriage started moving.

The carriage started to gallop through the rough path of the road and Anna found her body colliding with Marcos every second.

"Don't come any closer. You smell like rotten fish." His eyebrow scrunched together and he tried to move away from her. But the carriage was tight that their bodies was rubbing against each other and unlike the one in the Mansion that could carry up to three persons.

"Whose fault it is?" She moved closer, allowing her body to rub his coat.

Marcos turned his face to look at the road side as the carriage was overwhelmed with fish smell.

"You are becoming so troublesome. Or do you want me to open the bag to check what is in it?" He asked. "There's this fishy smell coming from the bag since last night."

At his words, her eyes widened with shock. She tried to hide her shocking expression with a smile but with his intimidating eyes, her face turned red.

He smiled at her. "You.... shift away from me and I would not open the bag."

Anna's hands clenched into a fist. Until now, no one has ever seen her old skin except for Lady Gaga as they usually burn it up together with the wings. She felt a trickle of sweat run through her face.

She quickly moved away from him to tighten herself near the edge of the carriage.

Just then, the coachman stopped the carriage in front of an old barn and Marcos emerged from it.

Anna sighed in relief as she came down to look at the old barn. The smell of poops drifted into her nose when they walked closer.

It was already evening and the people here was already retiring for home. Marcos knocked again and an old man in his late seventies came out.

"How may I help you gentle man?" The man asked.

"I am looking for a man named Harris." Marcos replied.

Upon hearing his name being mentioned, the man's eyes widened.

"Who sent you here?" His eyes scanned the environment.

Before Marcos could say something, a man passing by stopped to look at Marcos. He looked at him clearly with doubt written all over his face.

"Impossible!" The man shouted as he approached Marcos.

"Why have you not age since the time we met?" The old man asked.

Anna turned around to see the old man. What did he mean by that?

"Since twenty years you have been like this. Marcos what happened? Why haven't you changed?" The man questioned.

"I don't understand." Anna said to the man. "Do you know him?"

"Yes I do." The man nodded. "He used to come with his father when he was around twenty. But up till now he still looks the same way we met years ago."

Marcos smiled before taking a step closer to the man.

"You know nothing. You have not met me before and you were just passing by." He compelled the man.

The man blinked a few times before bowing his head slightly. "I'm sorry. I must have mistaken you for someone else."

The man left and when Marcos turned to the man he came here for, he didn't see the man again.
