Eugene's pov :
"I'm fine" she said and sat on her bed. I entered her room and sat beside her. "So what is it? Missing your parents?" I asked. She looked at me surprisedly. "Don't be surprised. I can see it in your eyes."
She looked down, "l don't miss them. They left me since l was a child" she said emotionlessly. I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and made her rest her head on my shoulder. "If you feel like crying, just let it out" l said calmly. Well, Keith had most of the control.
And in the next minute, she was crying hard. I hugged her and caressed her as she cried. I never knew l could be this sweet to another woman other than my sister.
After a few minutes, she stopped crying. She sat up and looked at me in the eyes. "Your majesty, why are you consoling me?" Her voice is calm now.
"Keith. Call me Keith" l said. She raised a brow "Keith?". I nodded.
She smiled brightly, "it seems when your eyes turns gold, you are Keith right?" She asked.
I nodded. "Thank you Keith" she said. The name sounds so beautiful from her mouth. I wonder how my name will sound if she says it.
"Are you always this calm?" She asked. I noticed her eyes turned completely gold too. Which means her demon has taken over too. "What's your name?" I asked.
"Adira".
"Adira. Beautiful. Just like you. But really agressive" l said. She rolled her eyes. "They asked for it" she said before her eyes turned back to molten gold.
I chuckled. Then suddenly she kissed my cheeks, "thank you" she mouthed. She was about to stand up when l pulled her into my arms. Without any warning, l captured her lips in a passionate kiss. She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me back. The two of us were in our own world of passion. Getting lost in our deep kisses.
Then suddenly, Lucas mindlinked me. I groaned and pulled from the kiss. "You better have a good reason for interupting me, Luke."
"I'm sorry my king. The elders called for an urgent meeting and requested that Heaven should be present".
If l haven't blocked them off, they would have called me themselves.
"Tell them we will be there" and with that l blocked them off. I looked at Heaven and she smirked. "It was the elders, wasn't it?. It was about time they call for me"
She had done something, hasn't she?. "Alizah?"
"Yes".
"What did you do?" I asked.
"Nothing much. Let's just say, l kinda forgot to release elder Saffron's powers . I accidentally sealed her powers when l slapped her" she explained. I stared at her for a while. So that's why they called for a urgent meeting at this hour.
"If you don't let us go now, they'll come here themselves" she said. I quickly snapped out of it and get up from the bed. I don't know why l like calling her Alizah than Heaven. Maybe it's because l just don't like the sound of Heaven. I'm hell myself.
We went to see the elders together.
After seeing the elders, Alizah went to her room. After seeing what she was capable of, they didn't bother to infuriate her. They talked calmly, just like the way they talk to mom. It's obvious now, the elders are scared of her. If she wins the fight, the people will respect and love her. I wonder when l'll find my real mate and end this facade.

Heaven Alizah Dianne's pov:
Seven days have passed. Today is the fight. Over these past seven days unexpected things have happened. The elders have become calmer and Eugene have become a bit sweet. Even though it's just a bit, it was still unexpected.
He comes to check on me first in the morning, and check on me before going to sleep at night. He even takes walk with me around the gardens a few times. Samantha is still trying to win him over. She even threatened me. If only she know that l can kill her just by looking at her.
"Heaven, it's time to go" Nora said as she approached me. She's my new personal hand maid now. "Are you nervous?" She asked.
"Nervous of what?. I'm not nervous" l chuckled. She smiled, "Heaven it's normal to be nervous. You don't have to hide it". How l'm going make her understand that there's nothing for me to worry about the fight.
I held her shoulder and said, "I'm not nervous one bit Nora. Don't worry about me". She sighed, "l know you are powerful. Probably the most powerful creature l've ever met. But even the most powerful creature alive can still be taken down".
"Don't worry Nora. Everything is going to be fine" l assured.
Nora doesn't know that my mother is a tribrid. She thought l was a daughter of two hybrids. But still, that's knowledge enough.
We walked out of my room and went to the arena where the fight will take place.
