I jokedly punched his arm as I laughed, and he joined in. "You make me feel like a freak," I said.
It's a little strange, but in a good way. I never thought I'd get a saint for a wife.
"Val, I'm no saint. I've had my fair share of bizarre fancies and filthy ideas.
"And you never acted upon them?"
"Not a single time. To resist thinking about what other ladies my age were doing, I simply kept it in my thoughts and kept myself occupied.
"Wow! That shows a lot of restraint. He said, biting his bottom lip and laughing, "I already had about three official ex-girlfriends at sixteen," undoubtedly thinking back on simpler times.
I said, suddenly struck by how beautiful life was back then, "At sixteen, I was busy petting my parrot and planning on touring all the Seven Wonders of the World."
"What was your parrot's name?"
