"You said Valentino was in a coma, I believe. If he's unconscious, how can he come? I questioned Sasha while she was busy changing out of her heels and into her sneakers.
"I don't have time right now to respond to such inquiries. What matters right now is that you are gone, and Treveur and his men are likely pursuing us right now, prepared to turn this woodland into a battleground," argued Sasha, her voice trembling with alarm.
"Won't you relax? Sasha, you decided on this. You were aware of the repercussions," Elia whispered. He was concentrating on the road. He appeared to be familiar with the route he was taking and the rough terrain.
"Do you believe he will continue to pursue us, or will he let it go? I mean, if he pursues us, he'll get caught," Sasha chattered. She exhibited considerably greater fear than I did.
