Chapter 61
Myrah's POV
A deep voice that said, "Wake up, Princess," roused me from my uneasy slumber. Despite the anguish my entire body was experiencing, I shot up as I felt ice on my knee.
My head was heavy. My headache was unbearable. I had no idea how I had made it through the previous several days.
That's chilly. Why are you doing that? Who was in charge of me? I inquired of the man, whom I knew as Elia, Treveur's man.
He turned his back on me and tore my jeans at the knees. My knee was inflamed and in excruciating agony. I whimpered in pain as his fingers touched my knee.
"If you survive, you're going to have issues with this knee for a while. Rubbing his fingers through the ice, he added, "You might need a wheelchair or some crutches." He pounced on top of me and immediately grabbed my mouth, muzzling my scream as I yelled in anguish.
Princess, are you insane? He bit his teeth and said, "I'm trying to help you here."
