Evan reassured him, "Don't fret about Kai. We all love you. Kai values a vampiress as a nurturing vessel, whereas we are too focused on admiring their bodies. Your grandfather raised his sons, Chester and Kai, very strictly to please his father, Vlad, because he had to make up for his mistakes with what he did to Emily Mill. Infidelity is taken quite seriously in our family."
"I'm aware," Troy muttered, raising the whisky glass to gulp down the blood in one swallow. "I suppose I am nothing but a failure to my father because of my infidelity against my wife," he added, slamming the empty glass on the countertop.
Evan refilled his glass with more blood as he encouraged him, "Chester feels he failed you, no differently than how your grandfather feels he failed his father. In reality, everyone is accountable for their mistakes. So if your grandfather can fix his mistakes with the Headmaster, then you can fix your mistakes as well."
"How much time do I have before my Uncle Kai wakes our Headmaster?" Troy inquired, wanting to calculate the days he had to fix things with his wife.
"It's hard to say," Evan chuckled. "If Kai gets my help, he'll find Vlad in little to no time, but his stubbornness might delay him some."
"That doesn't answer my question," Troy commented, expressing a gloomy scoff.
Evan briefly laughed at his surly facial expression, and his petulant mood. "You have limited time," he teased, although he wasn't necessarily joking because Troy was walking on a thin layer of ice between being exiled.
"Alright, I'll start tomorrow," Troy outwardly declared, taking a mental note to himself.
Evan warned, "While you're sorting your priorities. I hope you use your head and never listen to what Orlando is offering you. It's only a trap so his family can take your mother and Victoria. Then his family will detain you with our whole family and Coven. That means, your older sister Madeline, her husband, and their baby will get detained, including your little sister Coraline, as well as your little brothers Joshua and Colton will also be detained too. Those Mills won't spare one baby from the whole Coven if they succeed."
"No matter what he offers me, I won't betray my family even if I get exiled," Troy affirmed adamantly.
"Glad to hear it. While you figure out what you need to do to fix your mess, you guys can stay here for however long you like," Evan welcomed them, and Troy appreciated it.
After all, he wasn't about to let a pregnant vampiress who carried his unborn cousin go out there unprotected in the world. Not even Chester was that heartless, but Troy's opinions about his father differed since he was partly banished.
"I'm going to go take a shower and freshen up," Troy declared, and Evan nodded his head as he finished his second glass of blood.
"You know your way around. Unless you need me to tuck you in and kiss you goodnight," Evan was sure to tease his younger cousin as he stood from the barstool. He remembered when Troy was five years old, he used to be scared of the dark, so he had to sleep between his parents to feel safe.
"I'm good," Troy chuckled as he left, shaking his head. He knew Evan was an opportunist when it came to joking around.

Five days later, Kai, Ivan, Jack, Rome, and some of his guardians still hadn't returned home. For the past five days, they traveled through different dimensional worlds to find somewhere safe to hide Victoria while Kai tried to calm himself down after what happened with Bella. To their misfortune, every world they traveled wasn't any better than Earth.
Traveling to a particular world with high skyscraper towers and rectangular buildings, each etched from the finest crystal rocks. Eggshell greenish-blue colors shade the sky at night, while yellow blossoms in the sky during the daylight hours. On this planet, the water sparkled in a shade of purple, which glittered and glowed on your skin. Trees resembled solid crystals in various sparkling colors, and the clear-colored wavy blades of grass felt like velvet roses. Oval bubble-shaped hover automobiles zoomed high in the sky or to the ground below. Flashy street poles and holographic traffic signs, were used to guide the public's transportation for safe passageways throughout their systems.
Taking a break from searching for a haven to take Victoria, during the night, Kai found who he was looking for on this crystalized planet. Between two crystal buildings of an alleyway, the Alpha vampire scoffed, snorting steam from his nostrils once he spotted Kai and his clan.
"Give us some privacy," Kai muttered to his clan, so they backed away and left with the other Alpha's clan.
From the very beginning, their Headmasters were allies. Their Covens fought side by side in both world wars, so none of them were enemies or strangers.
"I don't wish to fight, Devon," Kai proclaimed, holding up his hands in surrender, but the Alpha gave an unfriendly hiss.
While their clans have a more friendly catch-up, Kai and Devon have some scores to resolve. Not willing to hear Kai's plead, Devon's frame was torn from his casual inky red shirt as beasty muscles ripped along his torso. Thick spiral horns grew from the front edge of his skull, and his human-like features contoured into a lion-like beast monster. His round, beady red eyes filled with an odious peril. From the length of his femur down to his calves, his legs, and hips cracked as the width of his muscle mass developed to be bulkier, tearing his pants apart. Long, thick claws extended from his fingernails as he growled, and then he charged to ram Kai with his horns.
Kai sighed when his long-time pal came charging in full force at him. Devon rammed Kai with such force that his horns impaled his chest, pinning him against the crystal building. By a mere inch, Devon's one horn missed grazing Kai's heart.
"Here me out!" Kai gnashed his teeth in pain before pushing Devon's horns out of his chest and shoving him back.
Being a Beast-horned species, Devon's temperament was twice as bad as combining a bull and a moose.
"You got my brother's human mate killed!" Devon growled, keeping back this time.
Kai sympathized. "I know I didn't save her in time from Andrew. I live with my mistakes every day, but I can make my mistake partly right by giving your brother a chance for his revenge on Andrew because he's been reawakened."
