Kai's hands dropped from my hips, and his face backed away from my neck before we looked over at Coraline and her parents Chester and Zoey, who were still at the doorway. Chester was doing everything he could not to laugh, and Zoey awkwardly gawked at us for a second.
"You better not claim I didn't try to warn you," I muffled, and Kai gave me a side glance from hearing me.
"What were you doing to Auntie Victoria's neck, Uncle Kai? Were you trying to eat her?" Coraline questioned him as her head cocked to the right from being utterly confused.
"No, I was giving her a hug," Kai chuckled, and Chester finally lost control of his laughter.
Zoey rolled her eyes at her husband as she lectured. "Coraline, make sure you knock first, before you ever barge into somebody's room."
"Ok, Mommy," Coraline gave a sweet reply as her parents entered, shutting the door behind them.
"Might I suggest a shower? It doesn't look like you had one recently, and it may help tame that testosterone," Chester teased Kai as he brought in Coraline's backpack before he set it on the carpet by the wall.
"Are you staying the night?" Kai ignored his older brother's ludic comment, and instead sweetly asked his little niece.
Coraline happily bopped her head up and down. "Auntie Victoria said I could. While Mommy and Daddy are busy doing something," she replied.
"Is that so," Kai chuckled as he briefly eyed me since I hadn't had the chance to tell him, and then he looked at Chester again. "And what might mommy and daddy be doing?" he seemingly required to know, but the smirk on his mouth was a dead giveaway that he already knew.
"You know, little brother, the same busy stuff that you'd like to do with your wife, but you'll have to wait until I return to get my daughter," Chester hinted as he patted Kai's bare back with a resounding slap which didn't seem to hurt him.
"Chester!" Zoey chided him as her cheeks flushed redder since we all, minus Coraline, knew what he meant.
During lunch, I overheard Chester was looking for a babysitter for Coraline because he wanted to have a romantic date night with his wife. Veronica volunteered to take Joshua and Colton. So she was taking them to the movies, but Coraline wasn't interested in seeing a boy's movie like her older brothers. And since Chester had gone out of his way to find Kai for me, I told him Kai and I would gladly watch Coraline for tonight.
While Chester and Zoey were saying goodbye to Coraline, I whispered to Kai. "This will be good for us to spend time with little Coraline." I giggled when Kai looked at me with his partly defeated expression since I had impeded him from satisfying his concupiscent fantasy. I knew he was craving intimacy, but that will have to wait until later.
"Alright, my baby, I'll see you tomorrow." Zoey hugged Coraline and kissed her goodbye, and then Chester did the same.
"You be a good little vampiress," Chester said, kissing her cheek.
"Bye, Mommy and Daddy," Coraline waved them goodbye as they did too.
"Good luck, you two," Chester winked at us, then he closed the door from behind them.
"You should've texted me about us watching Coraline," Kai smirked at me roguishly as he was doing what he could to settle his lustful desire.
"It's what you get for leaving after I asked you not to go. We missed our gender reveal party because of you," I rubbed it in his face.
Kai smittenly smirked. "You know I had—"
"You could've waited!" I cut him off on that thought. "Just admit it, the wife is always right."
"That's what my mommy tells my daddy," Coraline's cute voice mumbled from underneath the bed. We both peered down at the front of the bed, and all we could see were her short legs sticking out from underneath the bed while she was kicking them back and forth.
"Come out, you fluffy kitty!" she called for my kitten.
Ever since Kai scared Sapphire, she hasn't once come out from hiding underneath the bed, which I can't blame her.
"Grrr...hiss!" I heard Sapphire growling and hissing at Coraline.
"Coraline, come out from underneath there. You can't eat my kitty, or I'll be sad," I told her as I sat at the bedside.
She was known to feed on animals. I've overheard that she ate Joshua's guinea pig, and just before Christmas, she ate his pet parakeet.
Coraline scooched her body out from being underneath the bed as she proclaimed. "I wasn't going to eat her. I want to snuggle her!"
I giggled because her innocent smile said she meant it, but her glimmering red eyes told me a different story. For a little four-year-old vampiress, she was the cutest little being I have ever seen, but her Predatory instincts were enough to make Zoey crazy since she was trying to raise her offspring to be more human-like because she was once human. Therefore, she wanted her offspring to be tamer. This way, they would have more control over their instincts. Otherwise, if a small little vampire or vampiress doesn't maintain some control of their thirst, then you get a Kai. Which I didn't mishear him chuckling his way over to his closet from hearing us.
"Come have a seat beside me." I smiled, patting the bed, and she was more than happy to sit next to me. "If you want to play with Sapphire, then you can't pose yourself as a threat to her."
"I'm sorry," she boobooed her lip.
"You are not in trouble. While we wait for Sapphire to come out, we can do something fun," I suggested to cheer her up.
"Like what?" Coraline beamingly asks.
"We can decide that once I am done taking a shower," Kai declared, coming out of his closet with some fresh clothes. He still wore the same black dress suit pants, and he hadn't worn a shirt since after his dad tore his upper suit off his body so he could care for his wound.
"Be quick, Uncle Kai!" Coraline chippered, and Kai chuckled before he shut the bathroom door to take a shower.
"What can we do while we wait for Uncle Kai?" Coraline blinked at me.
"We can play a card game or watch TV," I thinkingly pondered out loud.
"I have "Go Fish!" Coraline cheered, and then she slid off the bed to get the cards out of her backpack.
