(Dalia's house)
The sound of the phone ringing echoed throughout the room and Dalia who had just come out of the shower was drying her hair with a towel covering her body which outlined her exquisite curves. She lived in a lavish mansion with her grandfather, her dog Uno, and a personal maid. She picked up her phone and saw the caller ID. Her lips curled into a smile as she answered the call.
Dalia had always been a diligent student, ever since she was a child. She had lost interest in sports after her parents died in a car accident, and she focused on her studies instead. But she couldn't help admiring Cain, who ran like the wind on the track. He looked like he was flying, free and happy. She developed a crush on him, but she was too shy to confess. They had exchanged their numbers on the sports day when she was in charge of one of the events. That was the only time they had talked. And now, he was calling her. She felt a surge of joy and nervousness, as she wondered what he wanted to say.

"Hey...", Cain said, feeling awkward. He was good at talking to people he knew, but this was the first time he had ever called a girl on his phone. "Hello!", Dalia said, hiding her excitement. "Do you want to hang out today?", Cain asked. "Yes", Dalia said, jumping with joy. They agreed on the time and the place, a café near their school, and hung up.
Cain had a lot on his mind, but he tried to look casual. He put on a black hoodie and blue jeans. He left his home at 4:00 PM and walked to the café, where they had planned to meet at 4:30 PM. He reached the door and saw Dalia waiting for him. She was wearing a black top with billowy sleeves and a white miniskirt. She looked stunning. Cain opened the door and realized that he was going out with the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. They sat at a table for two. Cain ordered fries and Diet Coke, while Dalia ordered an iced strawberry latte.
Cain started with "How are you?", to break the ice. She said she was fine. She knew he wouldn't compliment her outfit unless she asked him, so she added "How do I look?", blushing and pouting. "You look gorgeous", he said, feeling embarrassed. Dalia was ecstatic. She felt like doing a cartwheel. They chatted about random things for a while.
It was 5:30 PM and Cain decided to get serious. He said, "Someone is trying to kill you". Dalia was shocked by his words and asked him, "What are you talking about, Cain? Are you joking about the accident?" She looked into his eyes and saw no sign of humour. She took a deep breath and asked, "Why do you think someone wants me dead?" Cain said that the car that almost hit them had a brake failure and that it seemed to be aiming for her. Dalia tried to dismiss his theory as a coincidence, but she felt a sense of danger in her heart. Cain saw that she was scared and held her hands, trying to comfort her.
Cain didn't know what else to do, so he patted her head, which made Dalia feel embarrassed. She pulled his hand away and pinched his stomach with her small hand. Cain cried out in pain, but he was glad that she had calmed down. He told her to be careful and to look after her grandfather. Dalia was puzzled by his mention of her grandfather, but she nodded. They left the café and went to their homes. Dalia was sad because things didn't go as she had hoped. She got into her car, a 2010 Mustang GT that was the latest model. She drove away, wondering what was going on.
