(22nd April 2013)
It was Monday, and the students had to gather at the school hall for the weekly assembly. Cain had a bad feeling that day, and he decided to check for any suspicious activities. He walked around the school and smelled cigars, which no one smoked at the school. It was a sign that something bad was about to happen in his dreams.
Kel-Tec RFB loaded with 7.62mm and a Redfield 3–9x optics attached to it and a few spare magazines were placed on a window ledge, connected to the storeroom above the stage area. The window had a clear view of the area where the students would stand for the assembly. A man in a black suit was talking to someone on a walkie-talkie, which Cain found strange. He tried to listen to the conversation, and he heard, "Roger. I ... take care… girl… assemble… compensation… over." Cain put the pieces together and realized that it was somehow related to Dalia.
The man in black looked around to see if anyone was watching and left for the storeroom. Cain ran away before he was spotted, and thought of all the rooms that were close to the assembly hall. He wasn't sure if his theory was true, and if there was danger in his school, but he didn't want to take any chances. He went straight to his class, grabbed his phone, and put it in his pocket. Then he went to Dalia's class and called her. Dalia was confused by his sudden appearance, and asked him, "What's going on? The assembly is about to start." Cain quickly said, "We have to run" and pulled her by her hand. Dalia followed him, not knowing what was happening. They reached the toilet area, and Cain dragged her into the boys' toilet. Dalia was shocked by his action, and asked him, "What are you doing? Why did you bring me to the boys' toilet? What are you thinking?" Cain opened the door of one of the stalls and checked for the lock.
Cain looked at Dalia with a serious expression and said, "I think someone is after you and something terrible is going to happen in our school today. Stay here and don't make a sound until I come back. Don't unlock the door for anyone." Dalia sensed the urgency in his voice and nodded without questioning him. Cain left her in the boys' toilet and went back to the hall area, but he avoided the assembly.
Cain wondered where the attacker could be hiding, and where he could have a clear view of the students. He couldn't think of any place other than the stage, but that would be too obvious. Then he remembered the storeroom on the first floor, just above the hall. It was a hidden spot, with a window no one knew why it was there. He had found it when he had joined the school and had to get a respiratory system model from the storeroom for his biology teacher.
Cain sneaked to the first floor and checked if the storeroom was locked. The assembly had started and it was 8:10 AM, the time when the students' achievements were announced. The man in black didn't want to waste any more time and fired the first round of bullets at the students, aiming for the 10th graders. A student was hit in his lung and died on the spot, while others were wounded in their arms and legs. Cain heard the gunshots and knew that he was right. He locked the storeroom door from the outside.
The assembly turned into a nightmare. The man reloaded his gun for the second round. A teacher saw that her students were in danger and stood in front of them, shielding them with her body. She was shot four times before she fell. The students ran out of the hall, screaming and crying. Cain had already called the cops and reported the school shooting. He tried to block the storeroom door with desks and chairs from the nearby classroom.
