Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

School the next day...

Ezra got to class at his usual time, waiting for Arthur to arrive. Not many students are in school right now.

And just a few students were in class with him.

Someone walks to his table. "You're Ezra, right?" he hears a girl say. He looks up to see a girl not from his class. She has brown wavy hair, with forest green hair. She was quite cute as well.

"Yes?" Ezra replies, confused as to why she was talking to him.

The girl looked relieved. "Good," she said, then handed him a piece of paper, probably containing her number. "My name is Aurora, please can you give this to Arthur?" she said.

Ezra wanted to refuse until he smelled a bit of pheromone coming from her. It smelled like sweet strawberry milk. "Okay," he said with a forced smile on his face, collecting the piece of paper from her.

Aurora smiled happily at him. "Thank you," she said leaving the classroom excitedly.

Ezra looks at the piece of paper with cold eyes, contemplating whether he should throw it away or hand it to Arthur.

In the end, he decided to give it to Arthur. He's not in control of Arthur's decision.

When Arthur came into class a bit late. He had this cold princely aura around him, almost making Ezra's face turn tomato red.

When he saw Ezra, Arthur's face immediately brightened. He goes to the seat he had stolen from Ezra's former seatmate yesterday.

Arthur then raised his hand for a high-five and Ezra raised his hand to give him the high-five. "I got you something," he said, then handed Ezra a box filled with chocolate.

"Wow," Ezra said, smiling happily. "Thanks, but what's this for?"

Arthur grins. "I ordered this two weeks ago, I was going to give it to you yesterday when we went back together, but you needed to return to your apartment."

Arthur settles down and sees the piece of paper containing Aurora's number on it. "What's this?" he asked picking it up.

He unfolds the piece of paper and sees a phone number on it.  'Call me' was written at the bottom.

"A girl wanted me to give it to you," Ezra said.

Arthur was concerned by a girl wanting to give him her number. It's not the first time it's happening. He crumples the paper and tosses it into the trash. "Don't collect anything from anyone who wants to use you as a messenger to me. If they insist throw it away in front of them."

Ezra nodded, indicating he understood. "I will."

Arthur smiled at him. He was about to say something else, but the teacher came in.

Lunchtime...

Arthur was surprised that Ezra had packed lunch for him. "For me?" he asked.

"Yes," Ezra replies. "I saw you didn't like the cafeteria's food, and I doubt you brought lunch from home," he said.

Arthur didn't have the heart to tell him that he had ordered lunch for the both of them and he was just about to go and get it. "Hold on a bit," he said, taking out his phone to make a text.

Ezra tilts his head slightly. 'Who is he texting?' he wondered.

Once Arthur was done, he put his phone back into his pocket. "Okay, let's go," he said grinning.

They got to the cafeteria and settled down. Arthur opens the lunchbox given to him and is surprised to see spaghetti with chicken in it. It looks a bit average, not that he would say it out loud.

He wastes no time eating it and froze a bit while chewing it. Ezra was looking at him with expectant eyes. "It's better than the cafeteria's," he said.

Ezra grins cutely. "I know," he said. "It's not high quality like what a chef would cook but it's great."

Arthur didn't lie when he said the meal was better than the cafeteria's. It is very decent. He didn't expect Ezra to know how to cook this well. He expected it to be at least a bit on the saltier side.

"How long have you been cooking?" he asked.

Ezra was a bit stunned by this question. "Two and a half years?" he replies. "One of the servants taught me a few things then I figured out everything else by myself."

Is Arthur could remember correctly, it was discovered that Ezra wasn't the true son three years ago and he was sent out of the house so that there wouldn't be any dispute in the household. That was what was told to the news.

He sneered a bit. "Can I come over to your place?" he asked.

"Sure," Ezra replies, but it was muffled because there was food in his mouth.

Arthur understood, fortunately. "Really?" he said happily.

Ezra had already swallowed. "Yes," he nodded. "I don't have archery practice today, so why not?" he said.

Arthur smiled happily. "We can share the chocolate when we go to your house, too," he said.

Ezra looked at him blankly. "I thought it was for me alone," he said.

Arthur laughed nervously. "I just really want some," he said then he whispered, "I really like sweets. Shh, don't tell anyone."

Ezra was surprised. 'I thought Alphas didn't like sweets,' he thought. But if Arthur is telling him this, it means it must be a secret he's trusting with him. He chuckled lightly. "Okay, I won't," he said.

They were alone in their own little world unaware of what was going on around them.
