Arthur grabbed Ezra's hand and began walking to class.
Ezra, however, wasn't ready to return to class. "Hold on," he said. "We need to talk Arthur."
Arthur stopped pulling him and Ezra asked, "Did something happen?"
"No, nothing happened," Arthur replied, not turning around because he didn't want to see his face.
Ezra pulled his hand back, laughing a bit. He sat down on the ground and covered his face. Arthur turned around to him sitting. He was awfully quiet as well, soon, Arthur heard shaky breathing coming from Ezra.
He takes his arm and uncovers his face, only to see Ezra crying. "Ezra," Arthur called his name softly. He bent down and hugged Ezra, patting his back gently.
"Why am I being hated on for something I did not do?" Ezra said. He wasn't going to let the hurtful things Mr. Dumas said to him get to him at first, but in the end, it got to him. He stopped crying after a while, and he was a bit numb.
