Chapter 29 - Chapter 29

Ezra lay against Arthur's chest thinking of a few things. It's been a month and a half since they started dating, and he's been the happiest he's ever been.

He noticed that he'd been genuinely smiling every day.

To be honest, these past two months always seemed like a dream, a dream that he was afraid of waking up from.

Mr. Dumas hasn't done anything cruel to make his life difficult... Except for reducing his allowance this month, it didn't affect him very much.

However, life has been going beautifully now. He has a friend now, a true friend, Milky. At first, he was bothered by her presence because he thought she wanted to use him to get close to Arthur, but he was reassured that she wasn't his friend to be close to Arthur because of how they fought every time they had the opportunity to, in his eyes they were friendly rivals who found faults in each other and always found a way to embarrass one another.

He smiled happily and he buried his head against Arthur's chest. "What are you thinking of? " He heard Arthur ask. He could feel the vibrations of Arthur's voice against his chest.

"How happy I have been lately," Ezra replies honestly.

Arthur's chest puffed up a bit with pride and Ezra laughed a bit. "You are not the only reason I am happy," he said, and Arthur's chest immediately deflated.

"You are the major reason I am happy though," he said, placing his hand against Arthur's chest and feeling his heartbeat quicken. "But I'm also happy because I know I am not dreaming, I'm happy that Milky is a true friend, and not someone using me to get close to you or my money because I'm someone who lives alone with more money than they'd ever seen..."

"You used to get used for your money?" Arthur inquired.

Ezra nodded. "I don't blame them, I was gullible and thought everyone actually wanted to be my friend," he said.

"Like when we were in elementary school," Arthur said.

Ezra laughed. "I didn't learn my lesson from then," he said looking up and smiling.

Arthur smiled back at him. "Do you remember how we met?" he asked.

"How could I forget?" Ezra replies. "You made me cry when we first met then your mum made you apologize after the teacher reported you to her."

"Well, you were acting like a baby," Arthur said defending himself.

"The teacher asked me to be your friend since neither of us had any friends and you were difficult," Ezra said sounding a bit annoyed at him. "Then you called me the weak scared rabbit that only knows how to cry."

"And then you cried," Arthur said before adding, "like a baby."

Ezra pouts angrily and pinched Arthur's waist harshly. "Ouch!" Arthur exclaimed in pain.

Ezra then turned around folding his arm, sulking alone.

Arthur hugs Ezra's waist. "You were cute then too," he said. "My prince."

Ezra didn't answer Arthur as he was still sulking. Arthur then thought of an idea.

Ezra felt Arthur's arm leave his waist. 'What is up to?' he thought. He was caught off guard when Arthur began tickling him.

Ezra screamed a bit before laughing out loud. "Stop!" he begged Arthur.

Arthur didn't stop, instead began to tickle him harder. Ezra laughed harder and his breathing was heavier. He moved away from Arthur trying to get far away from him.

But Arthur came closer grinning evilly. "Stop it!" Ezra shouted he raised his left leg to push him away, but Arthur caught it and began tickling his feet.

Ezra screamed louder and began laughing uncontrollably.

Arthur was having fun tickling Ezra and hearing him laugh. He was about to stop when Ezra subconsciously raised his other leg and kicked his face out of the bed.

Ezra realizes what he did. He moved to where he kicked Arthur, and he gasped a bit. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"No," Arthur groaned in pain. "I can feel my heartbeat on my brain!"

Ezra flinched when he saw his face. 'I kicked him too hard,' he thought. "I'm sorry."

Monday...

"What happened to you?" Candice asked, when she saw his face.

Ezra fiddled with his tie as Arthur explained the third time that day. "I went too far tickling Ezra, and he accidentally kicked me."

Milky laughed out loud as she turned around from her seat. "I'm sorry this is the third time I'm hearing that story and it's hilarious," she said.

Arthur was not amused by this. He has a huge purple bump on the left side of his face. He explained to two teachers what happened to him and she just happened to be there.

Candice was more coordinated, although she was barely able to hold her laughter.

Ezra was very embarrassed for Arthur. "A cute bunny kicks like a kangaroo," Candice said smiling at him teasingly.

He covers his face. "I'm sorry for kicking your face," he apologized again.

"It's fine," Arthur said, smiling a bit. He would smiling a little more, but cheek still hurt. "You are stronger than you look," he said.

Ezra felt even more awful, and he began tearing up. He feels guilty enough.

Arthur noticed this and strokes his hair. "That's a good thing," he said softly.

"Ugh," Candice stuck out her tongue in disgust. She's only been here for a few weeks and she's never felt this lonely in her entire life.

"Alright, everyone settle down," their homeroom teacher said coming in.
